It's a NEW year!!

Happy New Years Friends!

I had high hopes last night to get one final post of 2010 in but got carried away with organizing my apartment, that I ran out of time, but the apartment is looking good. My Christmas decor is packed up, the apartment is clean thanks to my new vacuum, and I am slowly de-junking our home and loving every minute.

I plan to do a recap of 2010 over the next few days. I wasn't as consistent with blogging as I would have liked to be in 2010, due to the fact that we were finishing up school and then started working lots. So I want to for my sake recap some of the big moments of 2010, and there were lots, so stay tuned for that.

This year is going to be a busy one in our home, we are both working two jobs, we're substitute teaching and then working our other part-time job. It's busy, but we can't complain, we are hoping that some more permanent teaching jobs will come along sooner then later. I want to blog more this year, and that means slowing down and taking the time to record our history.

Some of the things that I want to do this year, and I'm sure the list will grow, but my main ones are...
1. Blog more, I think it's such an awesome journal and I'd love to get some blog books made.
2. Loose WEIGHT! Being back in university was not friendly to me, I have put on weight and want to get rid of it. I've started watching what I'm eating, going back to the gym and I just picked up a work out video to do as well, wish me luck!
3. Read 50 books this year. Some co-workers at the book store mentioned this at the end of 2010, I wish I had of kept track because I think I would have been close this year. I hope to start another blog to keep track of what I'm reading.
4. Relax and Enjoy Life! I find myself always needing to be doing something, so this year I hope to get out of my craft room and do more with Brandon outside!

Brandon worked all holiday season, so we had to make the best of our time together. We spent New Years Eve apart but spent the day together, with our families. The Bing's had called to set up a family skate at the Commons Oval for New Years Eve day, which we were pumped about! Then my family told me they'd be down there too, so it worked out PERFECTLY, we were able to skate around with everyone. My in-law's spoiled us that day and bought both Brandon and I new skates since we didn't own them. We had planned to rent them but were very appreciative of the new skates which we hope to use lots! The kids were there and were awesome little skaters. I had one fall as I tried to turn to see where Jessica had fallen, it hurt but I was more embarrassed then anything. We ended the day with a beaver tail treat- a perfect last day of 2010!

I didn't want to bring my camera due to fear of falling and breaking it, so I stole some of Laura's pictures, thanks sis for taking some great ones!
Last picture of the Bing's 2010...
Laura and four of the Nelson's skating up a storm... I missed seeing Miss G skating, I bet she looked adorable!
Me and my fantastic sisters on the oval... love spending time with them!
Kathy and Jeff... always a challenge to get a nice shot of these two!
The Bing's, Sarah and Jaccob looking stylish and cute as always!
Me and some of my sisters... Brittany & Sarah (sister's-in-law) and Laura & Me!
Funny thing about this picture is that I sacrificed two children to get in this picture, poor Sarah and Jacob were both tottering, and instead of saving them I let them go and made the picture, I am such a horrible auntie... haha... they know I love them!

2011 has started off with some pain, from being back at the gym and skating but I cannot complain. I worked a bit today and had a nice little nap. Now I'm just working on more organization and cleaning- bring on 2011- I'm excited for you!!

Your year end rap up at the oval looked like so much fun! Seriously, how cool is it that you have a family that gets together and does stuff like that! Good luck with your new goals! I know you will do great!

So glad you're going to attempt 50 books in a year! It's fun to share good books and be a little competitive. =)
