WE HAVE A BABY....

AND IT IS A GIRL!!!!!!!!! We are all happy to announce that Kathy finally had the baby after ALMOST a week of waiting. As I said in my earlier post she had her water broken, and was like 4cm at 10pmish... Mom and Charlotte headed down to the hospital to sit in the waiting room thinking that they would be in for a long night...I was quite surprised when I got a phone call from Kathy around 11:40pm saying that I had a new neice...she weighed 10lbs 9 ounces and was a whopping 23 inches long...she beats both of her older sisters in weight and length. Mom says that baby and parents are doing really well...we saw a video of the baby crying and mom

said that when she would take pictures the baby would open her eyes right up. Mom thinks that she looks a lot like Jake...although looking at the pictures I think she screams Kathy as a baby....if you saw the pictures you would agree. As of right now they are undecided on a name...we are hoping that when we go in we'll have a name to call her by. I woke jessica up and in her hald asleep state she asked what the baby was...Sarah barely woke up to hear and jake just kept on drooling in his sleep. So the surprise I'm sure will still be a good one in the morning. I have the honor of taking the kids down to meet their new sister tommorow since I will be watching them for the day...I'm super excited and will take so many pictures. Look forward to a new posting tomorrow with more pictures and her name...hopefully she'll have one. I'm so excited for a new baby in the family and especially a little girl...we've had a run of boys with Jake and then Ethan so it's going to be fun to have a little girl to dress up again...I have two outfits already but they are neutral but I think the kids and I are going to hit the stores tommorow to pick up gifts for their new sister!!! Ahhhh i'm so excited! Anyway it's late and I have to get up early to go see the baby!! Woohooooo!!!!!!!!

Baby Update...FINALLY!!!!!

So I know everyone has been keeping up to date with kathy's long wait to hear from the hospital...well the wait is OVER!! At around 1pm this afternoon mom called my cell phone and said that the hospital called and kathy was heading over. So Jessica was picked up from school and all the kids are here just waiting to hear about the baby!!
We heard from them a little while ago, Kathy has been checked in and they broke her water. She's been given drugs to get things started! Mom forgot to ask how much she was dilated though...come on mom!! So now a new waiting game happens- which I hate seeing as I was in the room for all the other kids, I feel like I'm neglecting this one. But hey I don't make the rules.
Luckily I have the day off tomorrow as well so I will be watching the kids and taking them down to meet their new brother or sister...I'm sooooooo exited! I even bought something else for the baby today- gender neutral!! I will be taking a million pictures so I will post some as soon as I can!!
One more thing to mention...Jacob said my name for the first time today. For you who don't know jacob really doesn't talk much at all...he's been working with a specialist to improve his speech, so moments like this are pretty dang important. He called me at 7am and said it and then tonight he gave me a big hug and said it again. Some of his recent words are Mike, Cookie, Baby and Boy- we are so thrilled and proud of our jacob!!
Anyway I should go try to get some wedding invites done before baby news comes...but I will post all the details asap!!!!

a week of things ending...

Well it is official, Brandon and I are university graduates which is SUPER Exciting. Our Graduation was this past Friday and for this blog, it is the first thing that has come to an end!! Brandon and I are both super excited to have finally graduated and taken that long walk across the stage. We have both worked super hard and it has shown throughout the year. I'll tell you all a bit about the day! Brandon picked me up at 8am, I must say I bought a new dress from GAP and was looking quite adorable...it has pockets which is my most favorite aspect of the dress but anyway. I was a bit stressed out about getting there on time, we were only a few minutes late. We parked in the Metro Park and had to walk up quite a few big hills so I ended up taking off my heels and walking in my tights the whole way there, heels look great for short distance walking but not for hills. I must have looked like a crazy walking through down town Halifax in my dress and bare feet. It would have taken us a lot longer if I had kept my shoes on. Anyway we get to the Metro center and got help with out gowns, hoods, pins and flowers before they lined us up in order...Brandon was number 25 and I was number 389. I was wishing we were married that day. It was okay though because I was next to a guy named Justin O'Hearn whom I had a class with so we had the opportunity to chat...no relation though! The entrance into the rink was quite excited to see the stage set up and all the people. Mom Dad and Laura were on my side front row and Brandon's fam was on his side a few rows up. I found them all but Brandon couldn't find any of them. The ceremony was 3 hours long but it wasn't that bad. There were some good speeches and honorary degrees given out... What took the longest amount of time was the giving out of the degrees...I was so proud as I watched Brandon walk across the stage and accept his degree...he looked so great and he didn't trip! I was quite nervous as my turn approached because I was worried about walking in my heels. So my turn come up and they pronounce my name correctly (I fixed the spelling on my card so that they wouldn't make my name rhyme like many people do) I started my walk and made it to the center...accepted my degree without dropping it and then made it to the next person and down the stairs without tripping...it was a relief!!! Mom was right there snapping pictures as I walked down the stairs it was really great! What was especially neat was that at the end they shot off these maroon, white and silver streamers into the rink it was quite cool!! Brandon and I had quite the time finding our families afterwards but we did and got to take some great pictures...our parents got our degrees framed for us which was a great gift- we cannot wait to hang them in our living room!

Here are a few pictures from Graduation...

I really do recommend to anyone in University to go to their graduation ceremony. We both didn't want to go but I'm glad we did. It was a great feeling for us and our families to get to celebrate our accomplishments. It was also really cool to sit there and look around and walk across the stage- I felt like I was in a movie especially when the streamers launched!! It was great to for our families to be together, my parents got to meet Brandon's grandparents which was great. They came all the way from Ontario to be there it I know Brandon as well as my self really appreciated them. We had a few opportunities to sit and chat it was the best, they are just the sweetest people and I'm so excited that we will all be family soon enough!!

Enough with Graduation, this was also a week of endings for many of my favorite television shows...as many of you know I love reality TV I try not to watch it because I know I will get hooked but I just can't help it so I must make some comments...don't worry there are pictures!!

The BACHELOR Officer and a Gentleman..ended Monday Night! I have to say that Officer Andy Baldwin is the hottest Bachelor that the show has ever had. Not only was he a major stud but he also was such a sweet guy. Okay yes he kissed a lot of girls but in the final episode you could really see the pain he was going through with his decision and then letting one of the girls go. It was hard to watch. It was down to Tessa and Bevin and I actually liked them both...but I guess I liked Tessa a bit more because when she won I actually teared up with happiness...I know I'm a goofball...I can't help it that I'm a crier! I just love love stories and have been watching this one unfold. As Brandon would say they're just actors but I choose not to believe that and just think of it as a love story and it was GREAT!! So i was totally happy with that ending...i was bummed though because I missed the show that gives the update on them now, it was on at the same time as American Idol and I couldn't miss that!

Dancing with the Stars...ended on Tuesday night after an awesome episode on Monday night. Apollo and Joey rocked their freestyles with cool lifts, while Layla's was just so so! I was super excited to see who would win, if you remember my post from when the season started you'll see that these three pairs were part of my top four, so I was happy that they'd all made it!! The final episode was awesome, great dance numbers and all the voted off couples were back. They showed flash backs to the past three seasons and had all the past winners in the audience...Kelly, Drew and Emmit. Just like the Bachelor, I didn't realize who I really wanted to win more until it happened. Apollo and Juliane won and I was cheering out loud in my bedroom. They are just too cute together. I think they should be a real life couple although they say they are more like brother and sister. It's hard to believe that she is only 18-Crazy I know! It was another great end to one of my favorite shows!!

American Idol...also ended on Wednesday and this is the one show that I'm not putting a picture of only the winner. I love American Idol much more then Canadian Idol and this season was pretty good. Idol gives back was such an amazing special especially Josh Groban and the African children's choir- find it online and download it because it brings tears to my eyes every time. The finally for idol was great awesome musical numbers! What was the best was that they had almost all of the past winners there everyone but Fantasia which was okay by me because I didn't love her! It was great to see Kelly, Carrie, Ruben and Taylor perform again- they were all so awesome. When the show ended though I was kinda bummed. Jordon is a great singer and a beautiful girl who deserves it I guess- I just liked Blake soooooo much more. I thought Blake was original and unique with a great voice and man could that boy beat box. I just thought he was more entertaining to watch and such a cutie. There are so many other people out there that sing like Jordon, it would have been great just to have something different. My favorite Blake song was in British Invasion week...he did the song that goes "There's a Time and a Season..." I don't remember the name but he beat boxed in it and it was amazing!! Kinda bummed but it wasn't that bad!!

Okay so there is one more thing to mention that will be ending and that is my time as key holder as of Roots. This coming week will be my last as key holder because after that I will be taking on the role of assistant manager, which is pretty big. I hope that I can do the job as well as Lisa has, she'll be moving to our Sunnyside store as manager since Tequira is officially going to be on maternity leave. We are going to miss her a bunch, but this will be a great opportunity for me, to have full time hours and make a bit more money which will be great since soon enough Brandon and I will be on our own. I'm looking forward to the challenge, but am still a bit nervous!! Wish me luck!!hahha!!

Here are a few more things to mention...

Sonja and Phil celebrated their second wedding anniversary which is pretty crazy it seems like just last week we were at their wedding. Which was a great celebration. They had a nice weekend, getting away over night and going out to dinner with her mom. What was fun for me was that i got to baby sit Ethan for them. He was a great little guys as always. I had some helpers as well since Kathy and the kids were over, they just love their cousin Ethan and love hugging and kissing him. We had a fun night playing. He is definitely busier then the last time I watched him but it was a real treat I love watching the little guy!!! Here are a few pictures from babysitting!! Oh and as you will notice Sarah got her new glasses this week and I think she looks so adorable in them. She adjusting well to them!

Jessica celebrated her 6th birthday this week and after graduation Brandon and I went over to help Kathy and Jeff with the party. I was the official photographer and took a bunch of photos. It's crazy to think that Jessica is now six, I was there the day she was born and was like the 2nd person to hold her. So to see her turning six and being able to read and write is crazy!! We all went bowling which was interesting, the girls were so loud and everywhere...Brandon was a hit with all the little girls...I think they were trying to steal my man!! Jessica had a lot of fun with her little friends and I think she had a great day. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day...

As for a wedding update, I'm hoping to have invitations in the mail this week and also hand delivered to those living close by this week. I'm crazy and I can admit it...see we wanted to put a little wallet size picture of us in with our invitations, we had a nice picture taken, but when I got them back they just seemed so plain compared to the invitations...so I decided to mount them on card stock...well one color wasn't enough so they are all mounted on 3 colors...all 120 pictures...done by me. My finger tips were going numb from counting so much. Brandon offered to help out, but I'm too particular on how things are cut that I just had to do it...stupid I know. All the elements are together now, I just have to put them all together and we'll be set!

Sonja and I went to look at flowers this week and pretty much have everything ordered which is good. My flowers are going to be roses, and Gerber Daisey's in pinks, orange and yellow which should go along well with our bright color scheme. I really just want to see what the finished product will look like. Thanks so everyone who recommend Laura J's to me she was super sweet!!

My dress had not arrived yet, but I'm hoping it'll show up soon...I just want to know if I will fit in it!! Sooo nervous about that!!

The last thing to mention is that there is still no new baby. Kathy has been waiting patiently all weekend and getting harassed by everyone with updates...poor girl. She called the hospital again tonight and they said that they've been super busy, and that there is one more person before her on the induction list. Mom said that he doctor has also been calling because she is really concerned about Kathy getting in and having this baby. So hopefully it'll happen tonight, but if not tomorrow. I think Kathy and Jeff have told them to call at any hour so that this baby can finally make his or her way into the world. I work until 5:30 tomorrow and I'm hoping that after work I will be able to go straight to the hospital to see the new baby!! Good Luck sis, I'm keeping you in my prayers tonight.

So I hope you have enjoyed this long update and i hope to post again soon with the arrival of baby nelson number four! Hope you have all been enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend...so glad it arrived!!!

Survivor, Awesome Friends and Wedding Updates!!

Well I do have to start this post, by letting you all know that another season of survivor has ended. On Mothers Day we got together at Nicole's to watch the final four episodes of the season, and we were not disappointed, it was an action packed FOUR hours. I was bummed because Yau Man didn't win, but at least Earl did! Yau Man deserved to win more though, I think because he was one of the oldest guys out there but played an awesome game. When there was 6 people left, they did a reward challenge for a car, all the survivors had a car except for this one guy Dreamz. So Yau wins the car and asks Jeff if he can make a deal...so he goes on to give Dreamz the car, the catch is though, if they both make the final four and Dreamz wins immunity, he has to give it to Yau. Nothing like this has ever happened in survivor. Dreamz accepts and the deal is made. Dreamz realizing that this might not be the best for him, tries to get Yau voted off and almost succeeds if it wasn't for stacey slipping up and making comments that made Yau start thinking. He uses his hidden immunity charm and is saved. He makes it through round 5 by winning immunity and then when it comes down to the final four, Dreamz wins immunity and at tribal council we were all waiting so stressed out thinking he'd be a man of his word and HE CHANGES HIS MIND...which resulted in YAU being SENT HOME! We were all totally shocked by that. At least though Dreamz didn't win and our other main guy Earl did. He took all nine votes in the final, although afterwards Jeff asked the jury who they would have voted for had Yau still been in it and he would have won. It was just an insane final...we loved it!! The next survivor is happening in China which looks intense and then Nicole called me the other day and after survivor China, there is going to be another Survivor ALL STAR...we are super excited!!!! That's enough about survivor...but that is not it for survivor night...

Since I was house sitting over my birthday I didn't get to see Natalie on her birthday and the girls didn't get to see me on mine...so we used this night to celebrate birthday's as well. I gave Nat her picture card and gift and the girls gave me a card they made for me, a purse, lantern and a gift certificate to Michael's my favorite craft store!! Super sweet of them!! They also had a little cheesecake with candles for me to blow out, do I have awesome friends or what!! Here are a few pictures from that night...

Monday I worked, nothing too thrilling happened. Tuesday and Wednesday were my days off this week so I took advantage of the time off and got quite a few things done. Tuesday was my errand morning. I went and picked up the wedding invitations which turned out super cute, I am so excited to hand them out. I picked up Jessica's 6th birthday gift (part of it) and found a great deal at GAP. This skirt that I liked when it first came in at 60 dollars was on sale for 16.97 how awesome it that, so I just had to grab that for me!! I ran out to Old Navy and Michael's. I picked up the supplies to make the little add on invites for those people to come to the temple on the day of the wedding. I think they are going to turn out super cute, although I wish I could give one to everyone just so you could all see the cuteness! I also bought these amazing stickers to put on the inner envelope of the invitations, they are from the Martha Stewart collection of Scrap booking supplies and the colors work perfectly...all but the blue, so we'll just use the green, orange and pink. I am in love with the Martha collection everything is so beautiful Brandon is going to have to watch me in there! So I had a busy morning of running around and the rest of the afternoon I used for organization and doing some RS things for our meeting that night.

Wednesday wasn't as hectic, but still busy. I went over and helped Kathy out with the kids since she is supposed to be taking it easy. So I ate lunch with the kids and just got to chat with them. I was asking Jessica what she wanted for her 6th birthday and she listed some clothes and some toys and then she listed a Diary with a lock and lipstick...which I thought were too funny for a 6 year old to want. So anyway on top of the clothes Brandon and I picked her up,I ran all over creation looking for a journal with a lock, eventually I found one in the dollar store, Disney things on it and everything...so I bought her three. Picked up some lip smackers for her today!! Anyway I took Jake and Sarah out ti rent a movie and get some treats. Jake chose Arthur and the Invisibles (which we watched, well I did the other two fell asleep) which was a cute movie. We didn't have time for Sarah's which was a Disney Princess movie but we might watch it this weekend!! After the movie store we drove out to visit Laureen (Brandon's mom) we'd bought her some sweats for her birthday and we exchanged the size for her, so i wanted to get them back to her as soon as I could. So we have a quick visit with her and I got to show her our invites which she thought were cute! I'm excited that she is going to be my mother-in-law...she is just the sweetest and one of the most talented ladies I know. I am lucky to have not only a great mother but now a soon to be great mother-in-law- Super Excited!!

Brandon came over Wednesday night after not really seeing him for almost three weeks. We needed to get a picture taken to go in out invitations. It seemed like everything was going against us, Brandon totally forgot we were doing photos and wore the wrong color shirt so I changed, plus it was overcast, drizzling and COLD! All worked out well though and we found a few winners. Laura did a great job taking pictures and following the directions I was giving her. The first picture is the one I think we are going to use, although it will be wallet size and the second one is just a fun one that we took but that I really liked!! Let me know what you all think!

After we finished up pictures we headed down to the mall to pick up my belated birthday gift since I didn't get to see Brandon much on my birthday. He picked me up a new awesome pair of puma sneakers...I love them...plus it was BOGO 1/2 off so since Brandon couldn't find a pair he liked I got a second pair of pumas, but they are more like a flat which is super cute. Such a sweet husband-to-be that I have!! We also picked up our first home item together, we've both been picking up things but this was the first one we got together... It is just some cutlery but it was still super exciting!! I cannot wait until we can use it all and set up our new home!!

So wedding plans are coming along well and hopefully I'll have the invites off within the next week!! Oh I have a question for all you married gals that are reading this...how did you all word the separate invite for those people that you were inviting to the temple... Any suggestions would be awesome because I want to get them all ready this weekend!!

Also I have the thank Julia for the super sweet birthday card that I got in the mail yesterday...it was super sweet of her, and we'll definitely have to go out for lunch soon! I can't wait to hangout!!

Hope you are all having an awesome week and are enjoying this latest update. Check out Kathy's blog to see Sarah in her new glasses she looks ADORABLE! I'll post some pictures when I actually get to see her in person.

One more thing please keep Kathy in your prayers so that she can have the baby soon!!!!! I would love her to have the baby this weekend when I'm hanging out with her so I can be there!! Plus I just want her to finally feel better, and I want to know what the baby is and I want to hold a newborn baby again...ahhhh I'm super excited!!! I'll keep you all posted on how things go!!!

I'm Back...it's been busy!!

Okay so I haven't been able to post for awhile because life has been busy and I have been house sitting, where I don't have computer access...so I figured since I have today off that I would update my blog...so here we go!!

First of all wedding update...my invitations are in...sonja and i are going to pick them up today, then Brandon and I need to get a photo taken to put with them and then they'll be on their way out. I'm having such a hard time getting this guest list down...I don't want people to be offended if they're not invited, I wish I could have everyone there but where it's at the Ramada space is limited...mom has me scared to send them away to people outside of ns because she's like what if they decide to make a visit just around that time and come...then the list would grow too big and my dad would go crazy...any suggestions all you gals who have gotten married...how did you work around that...and if there is anyone from far away who is reading this and won't be in the province august 4th let me know, so I can still send you and invite...does any of my ramblings make sense....can you tell this has been on my mind a lot...I want everyone who is in my life to be there but that's just not going to happen...aww so stressful!!! Anyway back to updates...

This is the material we've chosen for the bridesmaids dresses...Sonja, my mom, brandon's mom, jake and Sarah went out one morning and searched...this material is great because it has all our colors in it and it's so much fun. The patterned material is the main part of the dress while the solid pink is an accent trim. The style of the dresses is something that the girls can keep and wear again...very summery and fun...I'm not sure on their flowers but they'll most likely be one color while mine will be a combination of all the colors. It's so hard...I have a picture of how this will all come together, I just hope it works out and looks great and not all Crazy!!

My dress has been ordered and we had it shipped to our friend's place in Utah...we are hoping that it's reached them in time. Donny is coming home today so hopefully he'll be bringing it with him on the plane...I'm super excited...if not Karlee will ship it up for us. It was so sweet of them to do this...definitely cut down in the shipping!!! I'm super excited to see the dress and I hope that I fit into it...I've been eating healthy and doing sit ups...so here's hoping!!! I think that's it for the updates right now...if I think of more I'll post them...anyway any advice on the invite situation that would be great!!!

So April and May are busy months in the O'Hearon Home...Mike and Kathy have their birthdays on April 26th and then Laura follows and May 2nd and then I'm on May 6th...by my birthday we are all so sick of cake. This year for our birthday's sonja and I decided to go out for lunch together...her birthday is April 24th...so we headed out to Montana's for a delicious lunch...here are the pictures to prove it...hahaha....

Ethan was super good all during lunch...he got a few little snacks too!! Our meals were delicious and we left super stuffed. It was hard to then go home later on in the day and have Laura's birthday dinner...which was a Mexican feast...Kathy Jeff and the kids came over to help Laura celebrate turning 18...I can't even believe it now that Laura is now a YSA....CRAZY!!! It was a great meal and the kids helped auntie Laura blow out all her candles...well it was more like they blew them all out for her!! The picture of Jacob was him showing off his artwork at dinner...yes that is marker all over is body...it was on his tummy, back and feet...crazy little guy!!

So this past week on top of house sitting in upper tantallon I've been working as usual at Roots which means a nice drive into the city each day. I had Saturday off from Roots but still had to go in because we were doing a fashion show in my mall and I was in it...along with Ethan. It was nice the Salon upstairs did our hair and makeup for us...although my hair looks like it always does...all she did was straighten it, I was kinda bummed...but oh well! Maria and I had put all the outfits together earlier on in the week, so I had some time to kill with Phil and Sonja...we hit up MacDonald's for some lunch!! Everyone got ready in the store and we did a big group picture...only problem was that we'd worn Ethan out and just before the show started he fell asleep....he was still working his outfit asleep though...we walked the runway with him asleep and he couldn't have been more cuter!!! In the picture of him and I, I'm waving hi to his mom and dad. The show was a success and all our models did a great job, seeing as none of us had professional training. Here and a few pictures from before the show and during the show...

After the show I decided to pay my sweetie a visit...since it's a 15 minute drive in from my house sitting house and then another 20 minutes to Brandon's house from my house we haven't seen each other much in the past two weeks almost, it SUCKS! So I took a sub down to him at the bank and it was great to just give him a big hug!!! The next day was my 24th Birthday, which was also Stake Conference at church...so I also got to see Brandon briefly then, before he had to go back to work...we'll celebrate my birthday when I'm done house sitting which is fine!!

Before I continue on about my birthday, I have to write this...

CONGRATULATIONS MEAGHAN AND JASON on getting ENGAGED!!

So Brandon called me Friday and told me the news and then I had to keep it quiet until the next day, but when Meaghan's status on Facebook changed I figured it was all good now to share the exciting news!!! I stole this picture of them off Facebook..could they be any cuter...hope you don't mind I stole your picture meg!! So On Sunday I got to see them both and congratulate them on the engagement and being me I had a card for them!! Her ring is so beautiful...I loved seeing it. I gave them both big hugs...so now not only am I gaining a new sister-in-law but I'll also be gaining another new brother-in-law which is super exciting!!! It was great to see them at conference and I also saw and got big birthday hugs from Brandon's fam...it was great I'm definitely gaining more great family members!!!

We headed back to the house for a birthday BBQ...Steak, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad and Corn on the cob...it was delicious...followed up by some birthday cake...it was a great afternoon...I watched Night and The Museum with the kids it's a cute movie!!! I spent the remainder of the night out with my dogs scrap booking!!! I had so many people send me birthday wishes it was so super!!!

So that is my little update for now...hope this finds everyone well and happy...Sonja and Ethan are here so we are going to go enjoy the beautiful day at the play ground after picking up the invites...I'm so excited!! I'll post again soon!!!! Hope you enjoy!!! Oh and hopefully in the next like 2 weeks I'll have a blog with pictures of Kathy's baby...hopefully it'll come soon!!!!!! I'm super excited for that!
