What a week...and a bit...

So it's been a week and a bit since my last blog and quite a bit has been happening around the Bing home since then. The most exciting thing is that we got our new couches...they are amazing and everything that I pictured them to be in my head. It was super exciting to come home and see them set up in my living room. They make the apartment feel so much more like home and I love that feeling. Now we just need to get the rest of our furniture into the apartment...the pieces are stained they just need varnish put on them...hopefully they'll be done soon...then our living room will feel complete!! Brandon is a bit overprotective of the furniture...he wants to keep them looking clean and neat. He even suggested getting gloves for the kids for when they come visit so that their sticky fingers won't get over everything... hahha don't worry he was just joking!!! We do need to get new curtains for the room...my amazing mother-in-law said that she would make them for us once we decide what we want them to look like...which I'm not quite sure...any suggestions would be great!! The furniture was delivered on Thursday and that night sonja and ethan came over to go to girls night with me so they good to see the new furniture. We had a fun night with the girls...Ethan was a little charmer as always flirting with Nicole and Natalie. We watched my wedding video that night, which was a lot of fun, I love having the opportunity to watch it. Ethan was hilarious, he was making the funniest faces that night. This is my all time favorite face from that night. This face is just saying "Watch Out I'm coming to Get you!" hahaha!! It's too funny, you hold up a camera and this boy makes the funniest faces. Nicole got some good ones, hopefully she'll post them on facebook when she's done moving out west. But that is another thing to come in the blog. Nicole and I stayed the latest and watched Big Brother together which was so good and exciting. I don't know what I'll do without Nicole to watch these exciting shows with, because we both get so super excited about things. Luckily Natalie and Kerry will still be in the city and Laura will be returning soon, but the night will definitely have a little hole in it without Nicole to tell us to be quite when the shows are on.

Friday the end of my work week arrived and it was sooooo nice to know that I was going to have a nice long weekend. It was needed after a hectic week of getting the stores visual done. Kathy and Jeff picked me up on Friday night and I squeezed in the back seat between the girls and we sang Disney songs the whole way home to my apartment. Jessica, Sarah and Jake stayed to play with me tonight while Kathy and Jeff with Georgia went to run some errands. Uncle Brandon was out volunteering at the film festival but he ducked out early because he knew the kids would be over. We ordered pizza and had a fun time hanging out eating pizza and watching Cinderella Three. Uncle Brandon built the kids a tent in the middle of the living room which they loved, until Jake and jessica somehow both got themselves stuck under a chair. Kinda scary but also pretty funny to see them both squeezed under there. We of course had to take some pictures from the night and here are some of my favorites...I also love taking pictures of everyone who comes to visit our place for the first time!!

Saturday was my first full day off in a week and I couldn't have been happier. The day was a busy one though with a search for a pin the tail on the donkey. You'd think the traditional party game would be easy to find, but NOPE. I searched for almost a half an hour but finally found it and then rushed my way over to the birthday party. Sarah turned five last Saturday and this Saturday was her kid party which was a huge success. I went over to help her out and had a blast. I was in charge of games...so Kathy had set up for us, hot potato, musical dots and pin the tail on the donkey. The kids were super cute! One of the little girls Hannah was telling me how her neighbor calls her princess so I asked her who her favorite princess was thinking she'd name some Disney princess but nope she said that she was her favorite princess...too cute. We had hot dogs and cake after that and the party was ended with the Disney Princess Pinata...that's probably not spelt right but you get the drift. The kids didn't have too much success with breaking it open so in the end they all grabbed a string and pulled it open- lets just say there was A LOT of candy in it, the kids left with sooooooo much candy it was wild, they filled their zip lock bags. Sarah had a great time and got a lot of great presents. She deserved a fun time, she is such a sweet little girl and I love her so much!

I drove home in the pouring rain which I HATE and got some things done around the apartment and on the computer, had a little nap and then got ready to head back over to Dartmouth for my sister-in-law's Meaghan's Bridal Shower. It was at her friend Elysse's home and it was a super fun time. Chelsey and Brittany planned some good games and we learned a lot about Jason. I'm looking at my future brother-in-law in a whole new light..hahhaha!! I was quite proud that I got every answer right on one of the games!! The food was delicious and our hostess was great. Meaghan got a lot of awesome presents and had a fun time. I'm sure Jason will be quite excited to see them all. It was also nice to just spend sometime with all the girls and chat and visit. Georgia was a star tonight and was super well behaved. We think she's going to start getting some teeth soon because she is drooling like crazy. Her poor little bib was soaking wet. Here are a few pictures of my sister-in-laws from the fun night. Meaghan had the cutest t-shirt on as you can see. I cannot wait for the wedding by the sounds of things it's going to be an amazing day, and don't worry there will be loads of pictures. I have to start searching for a dress for the big day. I have a picture in my mind of what I want, hopefully I'll be able to track something cute down. I'm hoping to get my hair cut then too, because it is definitely in need of it!!!

This week had been a crazy one...I'm working 48 hours this week in order to get extra time off for Meaghan's wedding. We're all going rafting the day before the wedding it should be a blast!! It seems like every time my manager Terri goes away and I'm in charge there turns out to be a million things to do in the store, and this time was no exception, I have not stopped moving this week! I was furious today, I hadn't even been at work for five minutes when I get a phone call from this guy who works at our store, well used to, saying he has a new job and won't be in tomorrow...I was soooo mad that I said Thank you and hung up on him. There was more to the conversation but I won't go into it because it makes me sooooo mad!
Thursday Night was the first Official Survivor night of the season which was super exciting...we've of course been getting together when survivor wasn't on, but tonight Season 15 Survivor China started and we were super excited. It looks like it's going to be an awesome season. We were already starting to cheer for favorite people. Just like last season when I had Yau Man as my favorite, right night James is my favorite...or as I like to call him "Gravedigger" because that is his profession. Not only does he have a hot bod, and is a cutie...he is also a very soft spoken and quiet person. He likes his job as a grave digger because he doesn't have to deal with a whole lot of other people...awwww! Anyway, as of right now he's in the lead for the one I'll be cheering for, he helped lead his team to immunity...so hopefully he'll keep doing well!!! Thursday was also a sad night because it was Nicole's last survivor night with the girls before she moves which is so crazy to think about. Survivor night and Nicole are two things that just go together. So I had picked up a little fisherman magnet for her to remember NS which she really liked. Ker and Nat had bought a cake for Nicole and Matt...it's called a Martha Cake from Scanway and it's Nicole's favorite and she was totally surprised. Nicole even mentioned during the night how much she wanted cake so it was an awesome surprise. We of course took pictures, Kerry came up with the fun cake saying and that's Nicole and Matt with their cake. The cake was super delicious too...Nat and Ker out did themselves!! Matt took off early and he came over to me since I won't see him again before they move and he was like "come her Mrs.Bing and give me a hug" so I gave matt a hug and the water works started. I knew they would, and he looked at me, and I said right back "you were at my wedding you know I'm a crier." It just really made it real saying bye to matt and I don't think it really hit until then. The girls were like what's going on and when Nic saw me tearing up she started a little bit. We were good the rest of the evening watching our shows and having fun. Nicole is going to stop by on Sunday for our real good-byes. That will be a hard day, I'm going to miss her a lot. She's been my friend since grade primary, it'll be so strange not to have her around. I should go, that's another week in review...Brandon's made us dinner again and it smells delicious. He's really taken to cooking which is awesome and he really enjoys it! I can't wait until we get our new oven so then I can do some more baking and cooking too, it'll be great!!! I feel very lucky to have a great husband who is willing to help out so much around the house, he is the BEST!!!

Home decor, weddings and birthdays....Our week in Review!!

So Brandon and I have been married just over Five weeks...i cannot even believe that it's been over one month...wow how time flies!!! I couldn't be happier. We are getting more stuff for the apartment and the place is really feeling like home. We have a few more things to do this week...including getting new couches...which i think we might do tomorrow night. We had a busy week but it was good, hope you enjoy the photo's and the recap!!!

Monday... was labour day...which meant the day off for both brandon and myself. We heard that a bunch of people from the ward were going to the beach and we really wanted to go along, but we'd already planned to go over to the Bing's to visit since we hadn't been over in a few weeks! So I spent the morning getting a few things done around the house and then we headed over in the afternoon...we had to make a stop at Canadian Tire luckily it was open because I blew a fuse in our apartment. It's an older building so we have to actually change the fuse which I'd never done before. We needed light in the apartment so it was a needed stop!! I picked up some extra just in case it happens again! Brandon and I also had a little lunch date, it was only at McDonalds...but it was fun...we don't do fast food often! We had a great afternoon showing Laureen the wedding pictures and watching the wedding video which was awesome. We had a super delicious supper...i want to get the recipe...what was the BEST was dessert was the peach pie that my mother-in-law made...I'd never had peach pie but i think it is one of my favorites now...I could have eaten it all. They sent us home with some cheese and peach jelly from their trip to PEI...delicious!! Little Lucy isn't quite so little anymore Brandon and I were blown away with how big she has gotten...here ears are still so big but she's growing into them.

Wednesday... after a day at work on Tuesday another day off was awesome. Brandon and I spent the morning running some errands. I went to the craft store to pick up some supplies for my thank you cards and for sarah's birthday. Brandon went to the home stores across the parking lot to look for some things we needed for the apartment...I searched both stores for him and finally found him in the first one. Turns out he was there the whole time...but he was sitting in a massage chair so i walked right past him. He made me sit in it and I didn't want to get up it was amazing!!! We bought a new bathroom cupboard and a hook for our bathroom door and since the clerk made us wait to make a correction she gave us 20% off...greatly appreciated!! I wanted to get a dark brown shelf for the bathroom to kinda tie the bathroom all together. Our bathroom is an interesting color- white with greenish yellow tiles so it was going to be a challenge to make it work, but I couldn't be more pleased with it...the shower curtain has the greens and browns and tans in it, and the towels and accessories are brown so it's looking awesome...more apartment pictures to come eventually when it's all set up. After that we headed out to lunch. We went to Montana's for lunch which was super yummy- kinda a mini celebration of our one month anniversary. Montana's was the very first place we hung out. We went there after institute one night to celebrate Melissa's birthday with Phil, Ryan and Meaghan. It wasn't really our first date but it was after that night that things started happening between Brandon and myself. So it was a fun and special place to go out for dinner. After that we went to home depot to grab some paint for our bathroom and we also picked up a new carpet for our living room. Our carpet is a weird purple color so it makes it a decor challenge, but the neutral color carpet kinda hides the purple and makes things flow a bit more. It looks super good! We grabbed some groceries and then headed home to relax for the rest of the evening. We had another visitor to our new home. Meaghan Mingo came for a little visit and brought us a beautiful wedding gift. It was fun to hangout and chat and also show her the new place. When we get our new furniture i want to have a little get together...but until then we love visitors so message us, give us a call or just stop on over!!! We had a late night building our new bathroom cupboard but it's done and amazing looking!

Thursday... I had to work 1-9:30 which sucks on a Thursday since it's girls night. Luckily I was able to head over afterwards and catch Big Brother with the girls. It was super fun and hilarious as always. I didn't get to stay too long but going there is always a good time. On my way out though nicole pointed out that next Thursday will be her last Thursday living in the apartment. She's moving out west with her boyfriend matt and I'm going to miss her so much. Survivor nights are not going to be the same at all without her. Natalie is moving into the apartment so we'll still have girls nights, the three of us...Natalie, Kerry and Me...but it won't be the same without nicole. Our little groups is slowly shrinking and I hate it!!

Friday... I worked, but rushed to my parents home afterwards because we had to go to a wedding reception. Ariel and Norm were married out west a week before and they were having their reception at Saint Mary's Boat club that night. While I was rushing around getting ready Brandon was being a great husband and he was doing the laundry. Kathy and the kids were over which is always fun! Bran went down to the basement and didn't turn the light on since he was just throwing a load in...Jake followed a few minutes later. Someone upstairs turned on the light and Brandon stood up and said "Who's There" and is scared Jake sooooo much, he let out this GIANT scream because he didn't know Brandon was there. He took off screaming running upstairs. I expected to see blood when he came upstairs that's how loud he yelled. But when he got upstairs tears were on his cheeks and he was so worked up it was hard to understand him. Mom finally got him to talk and in his cute little voice he said "Monster in Basement". It was so cute, it took him a few more minutes to calm down and he eventually understood that there was no monster, just uncle brandon. It was too cute. I guess it didn't help that Brandon always jokes around with them that we have a monster named Eddie that lives at my parents house...Oh Brandon!!

Back to the reception...it was a beautiful night so everyone was gathered on the deck at the boat club mingling and talking. We had a great chat with Adam, which was great since I don't get to see him too often. Brandon learned that Nathan did Dove Releases tonight and he was really bummed that we didn't do that at our wedding. So I told him that we can do it for our first anniversary. Nathan had done a dove release earlier in the day, and he had two leftover, so he brought them down and ariel and norm got to do a a release it was too cool! They looked so beautiful tonight, ariel was stunning and her dress was so pretty. I love how the back of it went. We had a delicious dinner, we sat with Rob, Kelly and cutie pie Morgan. It was great hanging out and chatting with them. They are a cute couple and Morgan is a total doll!! The couple was toasted, and a slide show was shown from they're wedding, which was really cute! The cake was delicious and their first dance was really sweet. They had these two guys playing the guitar, and the violin/maybe fiddle...it was neat kinda maritime, really cool. While they were dancing Ariels little sister Tara, danced around them throwing rose petals...as she would go around them she would stop and twirl...really sweet. We had a great night hangout and just visiting with all our friends there. Here are a few pictures...more on facebook!!!

--------
Saturday... my second niece Sarah Grace turned five...I cannot believe that she is FIVE already and in school. In case everyone was wondering she had a good first day of school, Kathy said that she was excited to go and there were no tears which surprised me a little, but I am so proud of my little sare-bear!!! The party tonight was really nice...not all the family could make it so the number of kids wasn't as high. Jessica had a birthday party to go to and Jake was fast asleep downstairs. Since Jessica will be at Sarah's kid party next week it was okay for her to miss it and we've learned that there is not waking jake up when he's sleeping!! So all the attention was on Sarah, because Georgia and Ethan don't really understand present opening yet. She got some really awesome gifts and was super excited about the money she got to put in her new wallet that's going to go into her bank account for her disney trip. Her cake was awesome....it was a yummy super store cake and it was a Barbie fairy princess cake...so cool!!! Ethan was too cute tonight...he kept hugging Georgia and Sarah...such an affectionate little guy...no hugs for auntie karen but we'll work on that!!hahha!!! It was suoer fun hanging out with my family. I only wish Brandon could have made it, but he was at work...he was bummed to miss it because he loves those kids so much. I took a bunch of pictures for him to see...here are a few of the...the rest are on Facebook!

So it was another busy but great week in the Bing Home!! We had a lot of fun mixed in with work. We want to send out our Congratulations to Chantal and Joel St.Aubin on the birth of their little girl...and another Big Congratulations to Matt and Kristi Drennan on the early birth of their son...I found out on facebook this morning and was so surprised. I think that Kristi had maybe one more week? so I was super happy for them. I cannot wait to see pictures of both babies born one day apart!! So Congratulations guys!!!
This week will be another busy one since we both will be working...i think we're going to go out looking for a new couch which we need. I also have Meaghan's bridal shower this week which should be a lot of fun...I'm super excited for my sister-in-laws upcoming wedding- it's going to be so much fun. The search for a dress begins this week hopefully!! Anyway hope everyone has a had a great week, I look forward to all your new blog updates that better be coming along this week...i check everyday!!!!

What We've Been Upto...

Well I know it's been awhile since I've written here but life is slowly starting to settle back into a routine. Brandon and I have the boxes uppacked and now we are just starting to really make this place feel like home. I've been hanging things on the wall and our new furniture that we bought it almost done being stained. I've been adjusting to the new bus times out this way and have been more sleepy then usual because I've been getting up at 6:30am many days to get ready for work. Here is a photo recap of some of the things we've been upto the past four weeks since we've been the Bing's!!

The first two pictures are of the day after we got married. We headed home after a FUN night at the Ramada to our new apartment...Brandon even carried me into it. Quite Cute!! We spent the afternoon getting the place slowly unpacked...building our bed and diningroom table. We haven't had to cook many meals yet, because we've had family and friends taking care of us, but the few that we have done have been great. These pictures are actually of our first meal in our apartment that was actually cooked by Brandon, he made it and then cleaned it all up afterwards- what a great husband! We've been using the little grill we got as a wedding present quite a bit- Thanks goes out to Don and Jodie for that one...Our stove and fridge need to be replaced this month so its been a life saver!!
The Monday after the wedding was Ethan's First Birthday...so we headed over to the Nelson's home for the big celebration. It was a great afternoon of family, friends and fun. Phil and Sonja were too cute...such proud parents serving the cake and bringing out Ethan's own mini cake. Ethan wasn't quite too sure what to think of this mini cake infront of him....he started out poking it and just eating it with his mouth, but it didn't take him long to realize that this mini cake could be much more fun if he dived right into it and he did. There was icing and cake everywhere. It was soooo funny to watch. I have all the pic's on facebook, but here are a few from the birthday party. Also after the party Phil and Sonja had us over for dinner, which was delicious as ever and they sent us home with two big slices of Birthday Cake...thanks guys!!!

So two days into married life had been a blast so far...we'd had a present opening get-together and Ethan's birthday pary and our place was coming together. I thought I'd post a picture of our rings from day two of married life. I love seeing Brandon's had with his ring on...it just makes it seem so much more real!! He wasn't too sure about having to wear a ring all the time but he says he's goot quite used to it and doesn't even notice it on his hand anymore. I love my rings...my wedding band is beautiful and so sparklie...especially at work...you should see my rings under all our lights...AMAZING!!!

I love having more brother and sister-in-laws...I count myself very lucky and blessed to have gotten the family additions that I have now. Chelsey, Meaghan and Brittany are three of the coolest girls around and love that they are my sister-in-laws. Jaccob is my newest brother-in-law and he's out serving his mission in Nevada. It's really cool to have another family member out on a mission. We e-mailed him after the wedding and he send us some great pictures of him. He sounds like he's doing really great and enjoying the mission. He's been in the same area for four and a half months and figures he'll be there a little later. He was saying how he met a celebrity who was in Miss Congeniality...but I couldn't quite figure out who he was talking about. We are all very proud of Jaccob as he serves on his mission. Can't wait to have him back home though!!

We've had a few visitors come by the apartment...our parents...my sister and he friends...my survivor night girls...our nieces and nephew...and Phil and Sonja and Ethan. They stopped in this past week and it wa ssuper fun to hangout in our apartment. The boys played some X-Box and Sonja and I just hungout and chatted. Ethan was too cute he was tired and was getting close to falling asleep, but he just kept squirming everywhere. At one point he laid on me and dozed off for a minute but then started squirming around again. We hope to have more visitors come se the place, especially as we get it even more set up. So if you want to come visit or hangout just give us a call, we'd love the visitors!!!

This month was also exciting because Davis and Kristine moved back to Nova Scotia and Claudine and Graeme came for a visit with their little guy Declan. It was my first time meeting the little guy in person and I fell in love. He's too adorable and such a little flirt. He has awesome hair and such a great personality. We had a girls afternoon out with Declan and it was great to chat and visit with the girls. Declan was a star the whole afternoon not being fussy at all. Kristine is i think about four months pregnant and if you look closely she is just starting to show a little bit. She feels it a lot more since she is unable to do up many of her pants. I'm super excited for Davis and Kristine they are going to be awesome parents...and this baby is going to be a total cutie!!! We headed out to East Side Marios for some lunch which was delicious...that bread and Ceasar Salad are always worth the trip. Then we went on a little shopping trip to find Kristine some maternity clothes. We made Declan try on some Old Navy Halloween costumes...check out facebook to see the fashion show....he was getting loads of attention in the store because he looked toooooo cute!!! We also had a fashion show at Thyme Maternity out in Bayers lake with Kristine. She tried on a bunch of new stuff for us, and she even tried on stuf with the padded belly...it really gave us a glimpse of what she is going to look like in a few months and she looked adorable. I think it was a little overwhelming at first trying on the clothes and the belly, but she has a lot of good ideas of what she'll need to pick up!!!

Brandon and i had a fun little date night last week to. Our apartment is in a great location we are within walking distance to so many places. So we took a little walk down to the movie store and grocery store and grabbed some food and a movie and had a great night in. We watched Blades of Glory which was pretty funny...we had some good laughs!!

Last Wednesday was my dad's birthday. Kathy came up with a great suggestion that we all go bowling as a family to celebrate the big day. So was had a pizza party and then headed down to the lanes. It's so funny because my dad used ot be in a bowling League so he has his own shoes and is a total pro....you should see him bowl he's pretty dang good. He did though make us play by real bowling rules...I didn't do so hot. But we had a great time....there was a lot of us there...mom, dad, kathy, jeff, jess, sarah, jake, georgia, brandon, myself, laura and kristo...aunt julie and uncle bill stopped in too. We missed mike and keah at the bowling fun...we'll have to go again!!! We went back to the house afterwards and had yummy super store cake. We also had a great surprise delivered to us today...our wedding video is finished and Nathan did an amazing job...i want to show everyone so if you would like to have a wedding movie night...give me a call and we can watch a everyone's DVDs!!!!

Brandon and I are both off today, so we are heading over to the Bing's house...we haven't been over in a about two weeks so we are excited to visit, share our wedding pictures and wedding video with them. It's going to be fun!! We are exciting for ariel and norms wedding reception this coming Friday...CONGRATULATIONS ARIEL and NORM....i cannot wait to see pictures!! Baby Drennan is coming soon, and I cannot wait to see pictures of the little guy...GOODLUCK Kristi in your last few weeks of prenancy...we'll be crossing our fingers that he comes sooner then later!! Jessica enters grade one Wednesday and Sarah begins grade primary and i hope they both have a super day at school. Sarah is much shyer and more tmid then jessica so I think she is a little nervous about entering school but I think she'll do awesome!!
Hope you enjoyed this lengthy post, I'll try to do them more frequently from now on!!! Keep all your posts coming I love reading them all!!!!!
