So everyone I am back to blogging, life has been crazy busy lately but I really cannot complain because we have been having some fun times in the bing home. We've had birthdays and home comings and so much more. I've decided to just start from where we currently are and then work back in time...so I hope you all make it through this marathon and you enjoy all the pictures!!The next thing to mention is that my brother-in-law is HOME FROM HIS MISSION!! Elder Jaccob Ryan Bing got home last Wednesday night and we couldn't have been more exciting. He's been in Nevada the past two years and it's really great to have him home and to have the family all together. It had been a busy week with Jay coming home. Wednesday was the airport he got in a little after ten and was greeted by so many friends it was awesome...of course laureen had first dibs on him and it was too cute...as soon as he was coming down the escalator she was inching closer. Everyone did a nice slow clap for Jay as he walked out the doors. Then Peter and the rest of the family followed. He looked great and of course they lost his luggage...but it was returned to him on Saturday. I didn't really
get too many good pictures from the homecoming weekend...none with Jaccob's face in them... so the picture from above is one he sent us from his mission. It was really cute to see Brandon see his brother again, he was playing it cool but he was definitely excited to have his little brother home. Jaccob has been over twice since he's been home. The boys played their game Axis and Allies for hours the other night...it's great though to have him over to hangout!! It's been great to hear about him being home and adjusting back into everyday life and hearing about his mission. I hope that we'll see him lots now that he's home!! The festivities didn't end there because us Bings we like to celebrate, haha!!
So Friday night we headed over to Meaghan and Jason's for a big Bing Family dinner. This was my first time seeing the Stewarts home and it's super cute, Meaghan has done a great job turning the once Bachelor home into a family home. Buddy and Lucy as always had a great reunion running around the big back yard, which did include hopping in the little pond...ohhh they were both so wet. Meaghan and Jason were great hosts and fed us soooooo well. Jason is the BBQ master and we had shish-kabobs....I know that's not spelt right...but i'm too tired to actually figure it out, but you can see from the photo what I'm talking about...they were delicious! We had them with pasta salad and baked potatoes...YUM!! Oh just think about it makes me hungry all over again for them. I was surprised with a super yummy blizzard cake and the singing of Happy Birthday by everyone which was super sweet. The cake was DELICIOUS!!! I definitely felt special for this birthday that was my fourth cake...YUM!!! After we finished up dinner the boys all headed off to the movies and all the ladies had a girlie night where we ate fruit and watched 27 dresses which was predictable but still cute. It was super nice to hang out with my mother and sister-in-laws...they are all such amazing women and i'm so lucky to be a part of their family. It was a late night for us but we were getting used to them last week. I don't think I was in bed before 12:40 am once last week.
Saturday was an open house for Jaccob and boy does Laureen know how to put together a delicious spread of food. Brandon was able to get off early that night and so we headed over! The house was packed with everyone welcoming Jaccob home. I don't know how much he got to eat but I think he appreciate everyone coming out. We left full and tired!!
Sunday I headed over to hear Jaccob speak and he did an amazing job. It was cute I was sitting with Kathy and the kids and I guess they were all excited to go to church to hear Brandon's brother Jaccob speak!! I think we were all very proud of Jaccob that day. What was great was I was able to see my mom and brandon's mom on mothers day, and was able to give them the little something we had for them. We feel very blessed to have two amazing mothers...we definitely are two lucky kids!!
me and brandon after breakfast on my birthday
So I'm now 25... another birthday has come and gone and I can honestly say this was a really great one. I cannot believe that I'm 25...half of 50...wow!!! My actual birthday was pretty quiet...Brandon took me out to Cora's for breakfast which was delicious we left stuffed. He had a cake for me and a really thoughtful card...we're ordering my gift so that will come later on. He had to work in the evening so he slept in the afternoon and I sat and watched season 4 of one tree hill for hours. I haven't had a day where I just sit and do nothing, so it was a great afternoon I got through 4 of the 6 disks and am realizing how awesome season four was...it truly is the best show ever!! My FAVORITE!! We had a family friend pass away a few days before my birthday so I headed out to the funeral home with my parents that night. Jenny will be missed a lot by everyone who knows
here. I wasn't able to make it to the funeral so I was glad to be there that night so see the family and visit with them. After mom and dad took me out for dinner to Montana's which was super yummy I had baked chicken Penne, Cesar salad and corn bread...dad even got me an extra piece since I love it so much. It was really nice to just eat and visit with mom and dad. Laura and our friend Nicole stopped in to hangout with me for a bit that night which was really sweet of them...I was alone that night which I didn't mind but i appreciated the visit a lot...thanks girls.
I got a BABY for my BIRTHDAY! so I always like when babies are born on my birthday...Our friends Don and Jodi Pinsent had their little girl Olivia a few years back on my birthday and this year I got another baby on my birthday. My friend Laura since grade primary has an older sister kelly and she wasn't due to have the baby until mid may but she went into labour naturally and little Alexander Robert was born on my birthday which I thought was super cool since Laura has been one of my closest friends since we were little.
The Thursday after my birthday was survivor night for everyone that knows me...it was super exciting to see the girl's new apartment...which is smaller then their old one but i think so much nicer. We had a super relaxing night watching our shows. We got pizza for dinner which was so yummy we all smelt like garlic fingers...haha!! I finally got to give Natalie her gift and her picture card and she loved the new format which I was glad was successful...it was well worth all the work. They all gave me such thoughtful gifts. Laura had made me this little book of our wedding pictures that had the words of our first dance throughout it...she put so much love and work into, it's something I'll cherish forever. Kerry and Natalie did up a cute idea of things for me home...they gave me this awesome stationary set for my craft room...candles and a holder for my living room and a pie plate (red of course) for the kitchen as well as some cute storage baskets. What especially surprised me was when they brought out a birthday cheese cake for me...Nat works at scanway and hooked me up big time...it was such a Delicious creamy cheesecake...YUMMMMMMM!!!! I was not expecting that at all...I am so lucky to have such awesome friends. I am one lucky girl!! I was surprised on Wednesday as well at work by an adorable card, cake and flowers. Maria my flowers are still looking awesome. I feel very lucky to work with the people I do...they all wrote such sweet messages in my card and Jeff took a lot of time to find an awesome card and he did. It was so beautiful and crafty... it was by the company papyrus which is one of my favorite card companies. Way to go Jeff you ROCK!!!!!!
For any of you who don't know we have a Birthday Week in our family...well it's more like two weeks...Kathy and Michael celebrate their birthday on April 26th, followed by Laura on May second and I end us on May 6th...so by my birthday we are all sick of cake but not this year since mom and dad were away! So when they returned home we had a big birthday dinner for all of us. It was so great to have everyone together and it was a night of laughter...it always is when all of my siblings are together. Mom had a big cake for all of us...and there was a sucker with each of our ages on it and Kathy goes.. "who's 29"...hahha she IS!!!! she thought she was 30...good job sister!!!hahha!! Laura out did herself with her cards for mike and kathy...kathy's as you can see is a pair of jeans that said bootylicious on the pocket and inside was a pair of under ware with a picture of President Eyring on them....so classic laura we all died of laughter. Mike got a note on a piece of paper from the paper scraps bin in our computer room which basically said she used this used paper because if she had of used a new piece dad would have killed her. Too funny...i don't know if Laura is ready for card making nights quite yet but she needs them...!hahha just teasing. Here are a few pictures from that night!
The Birthday Siblings...I Love these people soooo much...I am just so lucky to have these amazing people as my siblings. Mike is 31, Kathy is 29, I'm 25 and Laura is 19!!
Happy Birthday to US!!
So my parents and sister went to Hawaii the lucky ducks we don't talk about it much because we all wanted to go too...but anyway they got home just over a week ago and they had a great arrival at the airport. During that day we had some fun with the girls at work. Spring Garden was doing a big spring weekend event and Roots did a little 5 minute fashion show type presentation. Jessica and Sarah came down to be in it and to show off the cute kids clothing with Jeff and Laura...they came last minute so I didn't have a good camera but luckily Laura took this with her cell phone. The girls looked adorable and did a great job. While Laura talked Jeff and the girls twirled and walked around I was so proud. I thought the girls might be too shy but they did really awesome. I cheered for them so much and they talked about it the rest of the day. I treated them to ice cream afterwards since I ended up taking a sick day the rest of the day due to a yucky cold. They came over for a little bit in the afternoon before I had a little rest. They helped me mop the floors at mom and dads too!! Jessica and Sarah made a great welcome home poster for the family. It was too cute to see them standing there with it in the airport! They all got off the airplane looking nice and tanned. Mom and Dad brought me home a really cute dress for my birthday from Hawaii- it looked super cute!!
A traditional stopping place for pictures in the airport
The girls with their sign...isn't it so cute...man I love these girls.
Wow this is a marathon blog...i need to get it printed someday since it'll be my journal. Since mom and dad were away I was able to borrow a card from them....YES!!! So on my day off I was able to head over to hangout with Kathy and the Kids. I had a super fun day playing Mario Kart on the Wii...eating Enchilada's and Bacon bruschetta (my favorite) and especially making cards with Kathy and Lesley while chatting with Becca on MSN. Kathy has a web-cam so becca could see us and hear is, so we all just made cards and chatted with Becca...she now has a web-cam so next time we'll be able to see her and hear here too. We all made some cute cards and had some good laughs. I was making a birthday card for laura, but the last thing I had to do was write her name on it...and what do I write Lesley...so I made her a new one later on...hahha!!! We watched Idol together too which was way fun!! I took so many fun pictures of the kids which will eventually get posted on Facebook but here are a few from that night...
Jacob Paul Nelson in his glasses...he's too cute!! Those used to be Kathy's glasses they just popped the glass out and he wears them all the time. Check out the back drop...Kathy's new green wall sooooooo cool!!!
