a night at the movies...

So since I was on winter break from school this week I had some different days off...instead of monday and wednesday off from work I took monday and friday so that I could spend some time with Brandon outside of school. We had planned to go to a movie Friday night anyway, but this one wasn't our number one choice. Simon had called Brandon and he was planning on going to see Ghost Rider with his girlfriend so we decided to make it a double date, since we haven't had the chance to hangout with Simon in awhile. As you can see from the flaming skull on a motorcycle it's not my type of movie, but it was entertaining enough. Brandon and Simon were pretty hilarious throughout the movie, they were laughing so loud- sometimes when no one else would be laughing. Luckily the actor who played the young Johnny Blaze was pretty cute, so that redeemed the movie a bit for me, only until he aged into Nicholas Cage. The movie was pretty cheesy and some parts didn't quite make sense, the acting wasn't two thumbs up, but over all we had a pretty good night out at the movies. We saw the Spiderman three trailer and it looks like it's going to be awesome. It was funny the preview for Spiderman ran and then one of the guys was like, it's sad when the trailer of another movie looks better then the movie your actually seeing...and in this case it was the truth. Brandon and I were able to have a ride home filled with laughs as we made fun of the movie- good times were had by all...but seriously if you were thinking of going out to see Ghost Rider- just wait it's a rental!!

I had to write a little bit about the sad day we had at Roots this past Saturday. We found our about mid-week that our hours had been cut back which really sucks. It didn't affect my hours since I'm a full time employee but it did affect our part time people and we sadly had to lay off four of our part time people. One of them was our Baby Beaver, Ryan. That's kim, ryan and myself in the picture. It was all a big shocker to the store and we tried to all have a fun last day together, but it was hard, Ry will certainly be missed. Maria, Ryan and I had a big group hug in the backroom and there were a few tears when he ended his shift by us gals. Luckily though Ryan and Laura have been friends since Junior High so I'll still get to see him around. If he ever checks out my blog i hope he knows just how much he'll be missed at Roots and how much we loved having him and his crazy dance moves at the store, he definitely helped us all feel a little younger!!!
I almost forgot...in my last post I talked about how helarious Silvia was trying to swim on the slip and slide, while I was taking a break from writing my midterm up I looked on Youtube and found the clip, so if anyone needs a laugh check it out- it's better to see the whole challenge, but the clip is pretty hilarious. Just go to www.youtube.com and search "survivor Fiji: Slip and Slide". Silvia is in the pink incase you couldn't tell!! enjoy!
