a weekend off of FUN!!

Well this weekend was a busy but fun one! I finally had a Saturday off which was sooo nice...Thanks Terri and Lisa...so I had some relaxing time to get things done before the kids came over for some fun with auntie. Boy did we ever have some fun together- We started off with a little play dough fun, as shown in the pictures below...the kids made a bunch of different things but we only photographed a few. Jessica made the girl's face and sarah made the pink worm type thing- pretty cute!!

What's a weekend with auntie Karen if I can't spoil the kids a little bit, so I picked them each up a little gift, for the girls they go super girlie headbands and Jake a cute roots shirt. They looked so adorable that as always we had a little photo shoot. It's crazy how many pictures I have of the kids but I just can't help it, they're too adorable when I'm around them.

Hide and seek was the game of the afternoon followed up showing them some of the old cartoons that I used to watch as a kid- Youtube is the best thing for finding old cartoons, I showed them She-Ra, the smoggies, gummie bears, ducktails etc. It was too fun! We headed over to their house that night for a sleepover since kathy and jeff were going out for a bit. We got some McDonald's and had a Gummie Bears Marathon. The first disk alone had 4 hours of the cartoon on it- I was loving it. I don't know if everyone knew this but the human boy that they are friends with, his name is actually Cavin, I always thought it was Kevin- who knew!!! Jessica fell asleep first, let me just tell you it's hard putting a kid to bed when she's on the top bunk. Jake actually put himself to bed in his parents room, after putting their TV to treehouse which I found pretty hilarious and Sarah hung in the longest crashing just after 11pm.

Church was great on Sunday, I went to Cole Harbour Ward and had the chance to finally sit in church with my sweetie again. I love Halifax Ward, the only thing it's missing for me is Brandon. Anyway it was great sitting with Brandon we had both girls sitting with us coloring- I loved every minute of it. What was nice too was that I got to go to nursery with Jake and Ethan for awhile. I watched Ethan for the rest of church, he was such a good boy he just settled right down and fell asleep and cuddled- it was so nice and when he woke up he just played with his toys- such a good baby! Here are a few pictures from Sunday Morning with the kids...

That night we celebrated my Aunt Julie's Birthday which was so much fun and had so much yummy cake. If you like lemon cake you'd have loved my aunt's birthday cake. We had a good amount of people for a turkey dinner...My family and then my aunt julie, uncle bill, ally and her boyfriend clifford. Good times and Good food had at the O'Hearon House!

Monday I had another day off which was soooo needed. I took the morning to get some more cleaning done before Brandon came over. It was snowing quite a bit so we didn't venture too far today, just took some relaxation time together. We were going to go see a movie, but I didn't feel like reading sub-titles and brandon in the end didn't feel like driving out, so it was tv and ice cream for us- a perfect night in!

I suppose i should finish this off, I was supposed to work on a mid-term tonight but that didn't quite happen, I've printed off my prof's notes so I'm a step closer to starting it. I have the whole week to do it, I just have to try not to put it off too much anyway. Hope you all had a great weekend, just like I did!
