This week we headed to Windsor to the cottage my in-laws had rented. We were only able to be there for two days, but they were a wonderful two days. We love hanging out with family- and we always have a great time. We did some swimming, boating, canoe paddling and lots of relaxing. We both got some sun, and some sunburn but we are surviving. We got ice cream and did some 9 hole golfing, although chels and I only made it through 4 or 5 holes, it was just tooooo hot! Meals were delicious and my mother-in-law even made home made blueberry pie- so yummy. We watch 17 again which I LOVE!!!!! and also Penelope which is actually a really cute movie which I wasn't expecting- check it out it's cute. We both slept so well there- no light and no sounds other then loons on the lake and bugs! The cottage was wonderful and we hope to go back next year too!

Here is a shot of the fam watching Sarah golf- Peter, Laureen, Brandon, Ryan, Chelsey, Jaccob and Brittany

Earlier last week we had the three oldest nelson's sleep over. They had been waiting and waiting to come so we finally found sometime and it was a blast. They came over monday and we went and rented a movie and bought some treats. They had a blast watching old cartoons with uncle brandon on his computer and everyone slept fairly well although Sarah does randomly wake up in the middle of the night sit up look around and then go back to sleep-sometimes sitting up and sleeping.
Jake, Sarah and Jess with their Jones Soda- DELICIOUS!

My aunt julie had a treat this summer all of her kids were home at the same time for a visit and that meant family get together. We went up to my uncle jack's cottage in windsor and had a wonderful get together. We swam, played and ate loads of good food. It was so amazing to see all my cousins and to meet all their adorable children! Come home and visit again soon!

My brother-in-law Jaccob turned 24 this year! His sweet girl friend planned  a surprise birthday party for him at Hamachi Steak House in downtown Halifax. We all met there at 7pm and they were supposed to arrive at 7:30... but a busker sidetracked them and they arrived at 7:45- I think he was pretty surprised. It was a great night, the food was amazing and watching it being made in front of us was very cool- one of the chefs was pretty funny! We headed back to the Bing house for cake after- it was a very delicious night!!
Jaccob's birthday card- he really liked it!
Brandon and I watching the food cook- it was quite the show!

We celebrated Two Years of Marriage this month. We kept the day simple, relaxing and fun. We went to the public gardens for a walk and to take some pictures. We had some ice cream and just enjoyed the wonderful weather. The nicest women offered to take our picture which was so sweet. We went to my parents for a pizza dinner with them and the Nelson's it was great to play with the kids- we rode bikes and went to the playground. After we headed out and saw the proposal with Kathy and Jeff- which was a really cute movie. It was a great anniversary, I watched our wedding video it was a perfect day and two years later it's still perfect- I love Brandon so much and although we can drive each other crazy I wouldn't have it any other way.

The countdown is ON- Disney in 4 days. I wanted to let everyone know that after some stress and drama everything worked out well and I was able to keep my job at Roots. I'm really happy to get to stay there, and I'm so thankful that it all worked out. It's a great store with wonderful product I'd recommend it to everyone! So we're slowly getting ready for the trip and hoping hurricane bill won't put a wrinkle in our trip because Brandon is way too excited! Hope everyone is surviving and enjoying the heat!!!

All throughout the day we'd look at the time and think of what we were doing 2 years ago at this time... it's 10:29 pm and we still would have been at our reception!! We've had a nice relaxing day together, I'll post about it soon, for now continue reading my last post, there are lots of pictures!!

It has been such a BUSY week here in the Bing home for our first week of summer vacation, I guess one should take advantage of it when they can. Still no new on the job front, will I or won't I still be working at Roots... hopefully I will figure it all out this week, so I can relieve the stress that is my life!! I'm counting down to vacation even more because of the stress.

Here is the weekly breakdown... Monday, we took it easy and hung out around the apartment until the evening... we then headed over to my wonderful in-law's place for dinner and Mom Bing didn't disappoint... oh my goodness it was a wonderful BBQ'd meal. We had steaks and salads, there was with one veggie salad she made on the BBQ it had sweet potatoes, red peppers, feta and a bunch of other veggies... oh it was delicious! For dessert we had a cheesecake with fresh raspberries... oh my mouth is still watering! After that we hit the soccer fields to watch jess and sarah play soccer. It was so great to be on the field again, oh how I miss soccer so much... I play from age 6-22 and I hope to play again some day! The girls both did great we were very proud of them. After the game it was back to the Nelson home to celebrate Jeff's birthday... Kathy out did herself as always, we had birthday trifle and it was mouth watering!! It was a super fun night we always have a good time with the Nelson's!
Super team mate sisters, Sarah and Jessica

Our next adventure was on Wednesday, we took full advantage of a beautiful day and hit the lake with my brother-in-law Jaccob, his girlfriend Sarah joined us later on. Me and the boys hit the lake and had a BLAST! The guys both tried wake boarding and had some big wipe outs... we traded that in to water ski since it was a bit safer, we need a helmet for wake boarding. The convinced me to go tubing, I'm not a huge fan of lakes, I'm more of a pool kinda girl, I like knowing what's swimming around me. So Brandon and I first went together and then they convinced me to go alone, sitting on the tube, well lets just say, not a good idea... my butt hurt so much and I wiped out pretty good... I'm just glad I got in the water to keep brandon quiet. We had a blast and took some great pictures, some of which are posted below. After we headed back to the Bing's and had a BBQ and a bonfire in their new fire pit, I LOVE roasted marshmallows... it was a SUPER FUN day!
Heading out on the late in the boat with the wake board kicking my feet up!
For his first time wake boarding he did an awesome job, we like to snowboard so I think that helped him a lot!
Jay enjoying the water and waiting to go!

Friday after a fun filled day at work brought a DELICIOUS night out... my old Roots manager and friend Terri was in town so we had to have a girls get together. We met up at "It's all Greek to me" which is such a great little restaurant. My friend Maria knows the owners, and we have gotten to know them through Roots so it was nice to see Jimmy and he gave us all kisses on the cheek. We shared some yummy appetizers and had such a GREAT meal. It was a wonderful night of yummy food, and great conversation! Can't wait for the next night!
Such a great place, it's not too big, great atmosphere and yummy food!
Our waitress who was one of Maria's friend, lighting the cheese on fire, I think it was one of her first times and she did awesome!
We had to take two group shots since we took the pic outside the restaurant, from L-R Suzanne, Maria, Terri, Cooper, Kathy, Sarah and Me.

Finally Saturday came, and brought one last work day which was soooo slow, but we made the best of it. I had a visit from an old friend Ryan and his sweet wife Justine, they live in Ontario now, so it was great to catch up and chat with them. They shared some exciting news with me and I couldn't be happier for them!! It was a nice visit during a slow work day. I rushed home and then back out into the beautiful day to make it to Ethan's 3rd birthday party, it's hard to believe he is that old already. It was a nice party of family and friends. He got some cute gifts and had a super yummy delicious super store cake! It was great to hangout and visit with everyone. Brandon had to work and missed out on the fun times! :(
Ethan and his new baseball glove, he was pretty excited!
The nelson big kids... Jake, Jess and Sarah, such great big cousins.
Sonja and Karington... such a cute cheese face on this little girl.

Summer School is DONE!!! Brandon and I finished our class this week and we couldn't be more excited to be done and have a short but good summer vacation. For anyone who commented on my facebook question, Science is...? this was what I was using the information for, it was a canvas that we had to decorate and I think it turned out pretty great! I love using all my fonts so this was a fun project to do. We learned a lot in this science course and it will definitely help us be better teachers!

Today I had the pleasure of celebrating and going to
Lyla Blakeney's First Birthday Party!
I can't believe that she is one already, I remember walking over after work to go visit her in the hospital. She is just such a cutie and was a lot of fun to watch eat her little cupcake... she was very very pink and sticky by the end. Julia and Caverly made some cute lady bug cupcakes which you can see on facebook. It was a great day and I was glad I was able to share in this special day with friends, it's really nice having Josh and Julia living across the street, even when we don't see them, it's nice to know they are across the street!
Little Miss Lyla eating her birthday cupcake, I wasn't sure if this picture was going to turn out okay I thought the flash might have been too bright but I actually love it!

Saturday night I had the pleasure of babysitting the Nelson 5, I'm not going to lie, it was very busy with 5 but I LOVED having them over and spending time with the kiddies, I just love them all soooooo much! I give kathy a major shout out, I don't know how she does it every day, she is one super mom! I gave them all baths while they were over, Cooper didn't love his, bathing a baby is challenging, he was so slippery, but don't worry I didn't drop him :) Here are a few shots of some of my most favorite people!!!
The Nelson Boys... tried my best to edit out Jake's orange mustache!
Crazy little miss georgia, I love this shot... it's my laptop back drop right now!
The Nelson 5 it's hard to get them all to look and smile, this was the best attempt!
I LOVE this shot... he is just such a chubby happy guy!

In one month we will be HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't wanted to make too big of a deal because not everyone in the family is getting to go to Disney this time, although I'm sure everyone will get to go sometime because mom and dad love it there so much. I do have to share some excitement because Brandon and I can't wait to get away and enjoy Disney together. I have always wanted to be in Disney with my special significant other and Brandon missed the last family trip by a year, so I'm excited to go and experience this magical place together and take so many pictures. This is such a wonderful opportunity for us, we really needed to get away, but both being students it was not going to happen any time soon, so there was no way we were going to pass up the opportunity to go. We'll be there for 5 days with mom, dad, and mike,(don't worry keah said it was okay for him to go without her) and are so looking forward to the vacation. It's been a bit stressful with work, since technically I am not allowed to have time off at the end of the month, but I'm hoping everything will work out, I don't want to leave Roots but I am prepared to if I have to, we need this trip! We'll also be celebrating dad's birthday when we are down there, they celebrated mom's there in February and now it's dads turn, he's such a big kid at heart!!

July so far...

Well after my evening fix of Merlin I finally was able to load some pictures on to blogger... my goodness it took forever, but they are here and ready to be viewed.
We are 19 days into July and we haven't been too busy here at the Bing home... Both Brandon and I are in our second summer science class and both enjoying it a lot. Brandon has been enjoying it and wants to take some more courses so he can teach science too. We are entering the last week of class and even though we like it we are ready to be finished... I have my final project pretty much done, it's on the clown fish and I have learned so much! We are both ready to have our Summer Begin... I'm ready to have time to clean my apartment, make cards and work on my wedding scrap book, which is a book of invites and pictures from my friends past weddings. Don't worry though we haven't been all work and no play... we have been able to have some fun this month and here are a few of the pictures... hope you enjoy!

I was able to take a day off from work and school to go and hangout with Sonja and the kids. She is babysitting this summer, so she has four cuties at her home every day, so I went down and spent the morning with them enjoying the fun and the sun. We went to the play ground and had a fun time... Sonja and Karington enjoyed the rocking froggy!!
Little Miss Lyla growing up so fast!!!
Baby Karington... too cute in her little sun hat!
Later that Friday Brandon and I were able to go and hangout with his family... we went out in the boat and then had a BBQ with almost the entire family. It was a lot of fun and I was able to get some more sun, I'm so pale that I take any chance I can get to get some color. I didn't venture out in the boat this time, but enjoyed taking pictures from the shore. I spent some time talking to my brother-in-law Jaccob's girlfriend Sarah and her best friend Sarah, which was pretty funny, they ventured out in the tube, this is them just before they headed out!
Lucy the Beagle... she is such a cute puppy... love this picture of her!
The boys paddling into shore... Jaccob and Brandon
Brittany and her boyfriend Ian... this was the first time I met him but he seems very nice!
Chels and Ryan after the lake waiting to eat some delicious food!
The Bing back yard I love it out there... so pretty!
Brandon and his mom chatting as he BBQ's us some dinner... he's a great cook!

Canada Day 2009... this year on Canada Day we headed over to my sister-in-law Meaghan's house for a family BBQ. We hadn't been to the Stewart's in awhile so it was great to see the changes at the house and to see them and their chocolate lab buddy. They recently renovated their bathroom and it looks amazing they did such a wonderful job! We had such a fun night, the food was delicious ad the company even better. We ate, we played catch phrase, roasted marshmallows and had some fireworks too!! Great night... a BIG thanks to Meaghan and Jason for having us all over!!! Happy Canada Day!!
Akayjah, Ryan, Chelsey and my father-in-law Peter... doesn't Akayjah have a great smile she is such a little beauty!

Hope that this post finds everyone well and enjoying the summer even though it hasn't always felt like summer yet in Nova Scotia but it is coming. I will post again soon since I'll be done school and enjoying my summer holidays... all 5 weeks of it before practice teaching starts again... I'm going to be in grade three this year and couldn't be more thrilled about that... it's the grade my mom retired from so it'll be nice to chat with her and bounce ideas off her!!
