Fitness and friends... Two great things that start with f!!

Wednesday July 3, 2013

After I finished nursing I packed on the pounds which made my heart sad. I always dreamed of being one of these pregnant people who lost the weight right after baby, the weight came off when nursing, but then returned. I am trying to use my summer break to get back to the gym and start the slow process of losing weight... Wish me luck. I made it to the gym three times and did some swimming.
I think what makes hitting the gym easier is that Brandon is fully supportive. He wants me to use our gym membership and get in shape so I can run and play with Olivia... Which I can right now, don't get me wrong it's not that much weight on, but you know what I mean. I love coming home and seeing what they have been up to while I am gone... This past week I came home to find them watching sleeping beauty.... How sweet is that!!
On Wednesday I had the chance to go to a baby shower for a friend of mine from elementary school, Meghan. She currently lives in the states but was home for a visit with her sweet husband Tyson. Her mother lives in a really cute neighbourhood in Bedford, and had a really lovely baby shower. Delicious snacks, fun games and great company. I always love a girls night out, we all drove to the shower together so it was nice to have some catch up time. I am blessed and I know I always say this, but I am blessed to have these ladies in my life- such wonderful friends!!
{this pic is the prime example if why weight needs to be lost}

Meghan is about 17-18 weeks along in this picture. The following day they found out that she is indeed  having a baby GIRL!!! We couldn't be more thrilled for Olivia to finally have a little girl friendcoming along, she is out numbered by the boys right now!

I know you can do it Karen... I am so in the zone... being healthy is at the top of my list. I am sure you will feel so much better. I have been walking and eating healthy for 23 days.. 15 pounds down... ;-)

It's so hard when food tastes and feels so good! I find if I can power through 3 days of sugar/junk withdrawl I feel SO MUCH better on the other side. I don't even care about my size, I just feel better! For the record, I think you look great!

Loved seeing you at the shower! :D
