Prepare for a BIG update...lots of pictures!!

Hey Everyone I'm back after a long vacation from my blog, almost a month. Things have been busy as always here in the Bing home. School has been keeping both Brandon and I really busy and we both have been in our schools once a week observing our teachers. This week started out two week block where we will actually have the opportunity to teach which is exciting. I am in a rougher part of the city, and I'm not going to lie I was a bit worried going into my practicum, but I LOVE IT!!! I have met so many awesome teachers and some amazing children. They are sweet kids and I'm enjoying working with them so much. I feel like I am gaining so much valuable experience and I know if I can teach here I can teach anywhere.

The next part of my blog is a little recap of what has been going on around here since my last post, although I don't think I wrote about Thanksgiving, but it was awesome- check out all my pictures on facebook!

Happy Belated Halloween to Everyone!!
Brandon and I had another wonderful Halloween. It is definitely one of our favorite holidays along with Christmas. We have a lot of family fun which you will see below in our pictures. We started Halloween off by going to school, there were a few costumes such as Napoleon, Bacon and Eggs and Indiana Jones. My teachers gave us treats too. It was all very fun. Brandon and I then had the opportunity to head to my elementary school for the Halloween sock hop. The kids didn't wear costumes but everyone wore black and orange which was neat to see. The sixth grade girls decorated the gym which looked awesome and the students had a blast. It was sad to see grade primary kids that could dance better then I could. Two of my sixth grade boys and a grade primary little guy had a dance off and the grade primary little boy spun on his head which was pretty awesome. Brandon and I worked on helping out with the face painting, which was a great opportunity to meet some of the other students in the school. There were many cute grade primary kids! We had a blast and I was so glad Brandon got to see my school.

We then had the chance to visit my grandparents since Kathy, Jeff and the kids were there. It was our first opportunity to see the kiddies in their costumes and they looked so cute. Brandon and I don't always get the opportunity to visit my grandparents so it was awesome to see my nanny and grampy. We headed to Kathy and Jeff's and had Wendy's for dinner which was yummy and then we helped the kids get ready for Trick-or-Treating.
The Kids in their costumes with their carved pumpkins- too cute!!

Our Traditional picture with the kids, Georgia is in there too she was hard to keep still. L-R Me, Princess Sarah, Kitty Georgia, Vampire Jacob, Jessica the witch and Brandon.

After Trick-or-treating we headed over to the Peterson's place for a little party, which was a lot of fun. It was great to visit with some old friends and to meet some new friends too. My favorite part was seeing all the cute kiddo's in their costumes, again see facebook for all their cute pictures. These are two of my favorite little people, Emmy the bumble bee and Ireland the lady bug. They were so adorable and had such cute costumes. I loved seeing them and visiting with my little friends. Thanks to Jessica, Luke and Elle for a fun night!!
Me and my sweetie pie trick-or-treating... one is never too old to go!!
This is one of my favorite pictures from Halloween... this is little miss georgia on her first trick-or-treating experience. She went out last year but didn't participate in this. She was so funny and so brave. She would walk right up with the bag on her shoulder, then she would take the candy from the person in her hand, and then place it in her own bag. So FUNNY! The only time she was a little scared was when these older masked kids were at the door at the same time, she kept a good hold on uncle Brandon's hand and kept taking steps back to get away from them. One of the kids was going to let her go first but she wouldn't move until he was gone. Oh it was toooo funny!!!

Brandon and I ended the night by watching a scary movie and I don't think I will ever again... I do NOT like scary movies at all!!!

Thursday night was the Bing Family Halloween Party and it was sooooooo much fun!!! My mother-in-law gets so into the season and the home was so beautifully decorated. We had a DELICIOUS dinner ribs, mashed potatoes and corn. We had squash soup in pumpkin bowls- Laureen empties them out by hand for us. How awesome is she!! The rooms was so decorated and we had Halloween music playing in the background. Dessert was all sorts of Halloween treats- candy, Carmel corn, chocolate covered apples, finger cookies and fudge. After dinner we had a little hunt for clues around the property and my father-in-law hid in the shed in a mask to scare us. We then played Halloween charades and carved pumpkins- it was A BLAST!!!! Thanks to mom and dad Bing for a super fun night!!
Some of Laureen's really cute decorations
The family at the festive table... love it!!!
Two of my beautiful sister-in-laws Meaghan and Brittany
A close up shot of the table setting- those little houses move and make sounds!
All geared up to eat our yummy dinner!!! DELICIOUS!!
Brittany and my Mother-in-law Laureen, the Holiday Queen, she is another Martha Stewart!
On the Wednesday before Halloween Sonja and Karrington stopped by for a visit. It was a blast to get to hold the baby again and to see her in her Roots sleeper! Brandon even got to hold her that night he was so cute holding her!!
In my language arts class we had to make pumpkins look at all the cool pumpkins everyone had made.
These are the two that I made- I made two because the one made out of paper mache made me nervous and I wasn't sure if it was going to work out

Graeme and Lydia got married in October! Brandon and I had the chance to go and celebrate with them at their reception which was really nice. Brandon and I were both pretty drained since we had Professional Development Day, which meant a full day at workshops with other teachers. It was a busy but good day. Graeme and Lydia both looked so amazing and so happy together. There were lots of cute games and the food was delicious! I guess on their first date Graeme made Lydia Crepes since he served his mission in France, so they had a crepe bar set up. You could have as many as you could eat within a certain amount of time. They had desert ones and meal ones...soooo yummy... a really neat idea!
Ryan and Chelsey at the wedding reception... such a cute couple
Mr. and Mrs. Thompson looking so awesome!
Me and my sweetie
Hannah and I... I was beyond excited to see Hannah at this reception. We had grown up together in the youth program and I don't think I've seen her in years. Since the last time I had seen her she's been married and has a toddler... wow time flies. So It was super exciting to see her, I've missed her a lot! I'm so glad she may be able to visit here more since her sister and brother-in-law now live in the city!!
The card I made for The Thompson's... I tried to make it like them.

We had another week with visitors since Ariel was in town visiting family. She's a big fan of the show so we couldn't have her miss a week. It was so nice to have her and her sister Hannah and little baby Rebecca join us. I was excited to meet Rebecca in person she is such a cutie pie!!

Little Miss Karington

So I finally got down to the hospital tonight to meet little miss karington. We were waiting to head down because Sonja thought she might be able to head home tonight but they decided to keep her until tomorrow. So as soon as we got the word Brandon and I headed down. I was so excited!! She is so tiny and cute, and especially pretty in pink. She was great while we were there just sleeping, she made a few little peeps, but overall was just peaceful and sleepy!! I of course had to snap pictures like crazy and I warned her to get used to it!! Matt, Nancy and Madison stopped in while we were there too, so it was great to see them and Madison who is now 8 months old, wow how time flies! Hope you enjoy the pictures finally... the rest of them will be posted on facebook!

I've been waiting for this all day... finally getting to hold her, I didn't want to give her back!

Welcome Baby Nelson!!

Phil and Sonja had their Baby Girl Welcome...
Karington Hannah Nelson
7 lbs. 2 oz.
Born at 12:37 am
That time is correct,  Sonja called me sometime around 10:50ish last night saying she was 2 cm and she has her like an hour and a half later... Phil called us at 1:28 am with the exciting news. I'm hoping I spelled her name correct, and got the weight right, I'm pretty sure. She was eating when I was talking to Phil and everyone seemed to be doing well... I guess Sonja dilated fast and had Karington out in like three pushes. I'm excited to talk to Sonja today, I'm going to call around lunch time from school and then we plan to go visit them after school. I'm super excited to meet this little girl and to take some pictures, so hopefully I'll post some later today!!!!

Sonja is in LABOUR!!!

Hey everyone in our blogging family, I just thought I'd let you know that we ran into Phil and Sonja in the mall tonight, and she was having contractions. The mean nurse in the hospital was making sonja walk to get things going more. Sonja was being such a trooper in the mall, I was so excited but just wanted to cry because I could see the pain when a contraction would hit.

She called me two minutes ago so like 10:55pm and she has officially been admitted to the hospital!!!!

THE BABY IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell I'm a little excited... so last checked she was at 2 cm, her water had broke and she had a epidural which was working wonderfully this time... with Ethan she was still feeling the contractions. So by the sound of things she's feeling good and just waiting to dilate !!! I can't wait to go see the baby... although I won't be able to go visit until after school tomorrow.... which is going to kill me. I'm wishing them loads of luck and a fast and great delivery!! Can you tell I'm a bit excited!!!!!

Back To School

I'm Back... after a brief blogger vacation I have returned with not too much new to tell.  From the title you may have guessed Brandon and I are both back to school. On September 3rd we started at Mount Saint Vincent University in the Bachelor of Education program which is a 2 year degree. Brandon wants to be a high school teacher and anyone that knows me knows that I'm all about elementary. We're excited to be starting this journey onto our future, but not so happy about not being able to work so much, but luckily it's only for two years. Right now I should be preparing for my presentation tomorrow but I just needed to say hello to my blogger friends... I've been enjoying everyones posts so much and I promise to start commenting again because I have been a bit of a slacker!

Since Brandon and I are both back in school we need to invest in a second laptop since we'll both be busy with journals and assignments. So this is a picture of my new baby... my macbook! I've had it for just over a week and have been loving every minute of programming it and personalizing it to all my needs!! We also have wireless Internet now, which i don't know  how I lived without before... who ever invented that THANKS!!! What is also a lot of fun is that it has a program called photo booth on it so Brandon and I have been having a blast taking silly pictures of ourselves. This is one that I did by myself when I was trying it out, which turned out pretty fun!

Ever since Brandon and I have started school which has just been over a week I find myself looking at education so much differently. I look at TV programs for kids in a different way and find myself looking for the educational value in them. One I recently found is called Sid the Science Kid and it's on PBS Saturday mornings and I think it's GREAT! I think it's really important to introduce your children to science as soon as you can, get them interested and excited about the world around them... check out the show it's super cute!

I also need to give a big shout out to my big sister Kathy who finally announced that Baby Number 5 is on the way!!!! It's been killing me to keep the secret in, and I'm excited to share my excitement now. I love my nieces and nephews so much and I'm excited that there will be another little Nelson in their family to love, they have such adorable children that I'm excited to see this new addition... fingers crossed for a brother I think Jake needs one!!

Sarah Grace turned 6 this year, it's hard to believe that she is already 6, wow how time flies when you are having fun. Sarah is such a sweet and quiet little girl. She is very creative and very thoughtful always willing to help when I ask her to. She has the greatest smile and such beautiful curls and when is the best is her little giggle! We love that she is our niece so much and always treasure the time we get to spend with her! We were super excited to celebrate her birthday with her this year, here are a few pictures from her big birthday!!

Sarah showing off her new wii game High School Musical Sing-Along... Love it!!
Sarah and I were A+ Rock Stars!!!
This is just a shot of the little birthday tag that I created for Sarah's birthday... is said on the other side, we GROW more in love with you every year, Happy Birthday!
I also wanted to share the latest shot I have of sonja's little baby bump... just under three weeks until that little baby girl arrives and we get to meet her! I'm so excited for that. Sonja has been such a trooper through this pregnancy helping me in nursery and I want her to know just how much I appreciate her and her dedication to our little nursery class. It's great to have someone to depend on in there!!! Hope you guys are feeling better soon!!!
One last shot of the birthday girl in front of her cool door!

Well I suppose I should get back to this presentation, I hate that I have to present first with my partner Leanne...darn last name starting with B...hahha at least I get it over with early. Everyone keep me and my presentation in your prayers and wish me luck... Let's just hope it all makes sense!

One more thing to mention...One Tree Hill nights have started again for the season and I didn't realize how much I missed the weekly hangout times with my sisters and the yummy treats we always eat. Lesley and Nicole have joined us now and are a welcome addition to the OTH fan club. This season has not disappointed at all, were on episode three and its been amazing...are there any other OTH fans in our blogging family...let me know I always love to chat about the show. Hope you all have a good week and I hope to be posting more regularly from now on!
