A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That!!

So I wanted to start tonight's post off with something I found really funny...no one else may but I did. So last week I think I was watching So You Think You Can Dance- which I LOVE!!! Anyway and I was laying on my couch all bundled up because I love to be warm, which sometimes means that I will tuck my hands underneath me so that stay nice and cozy- I have cold hands what can I say. So anyway the show ends and I get up and I go in to check my e-mail before bed and I suddenly look down at my hand and notice that it is all blotchy and red which always concerns me. I was a little stressed for a moment when I suddenly realized that my hand now held the imprint of the letter O! Random you might think but it made all too much sense to me...that's what you get for having ROOTS written across your butt...so for all those who love a good sweat pant with a word across the but be careful because it can imprint. If you enlarge the picture you can see the full shape of the O, and I just had to take a picture!! haha!!

I wanted to also give a quick shout out to my father and father-in-law...

Happy Father's Day!!!

I hope they know how important they are to us!!!

So what's been going on in our family this past week... not a whole lot, both Brandon and I have been working hard and enjoying the brief times we get together. We just had a crazy busy week at work, we are not sure what caused a week like that but it was awesome we had some great sales and we also got a new leather bag wall installed. I've been meaning to take a picture of it, and hopefully will tomorrow. It looks so amazing, and Ben and Michael were too much fun to have in the store to install the wall. It made for a dusty and hectic week but it all came together. Brandon and I went two Friday's ago and saw the new Narnia movie... Prince Caspian...which was soooo good. It wasn't really Brandon's type of movie but I love love love it. Such an exciting and great tale and it didn't help that Caspian was pretty dang cute!! Brandon's been enjoying having his brother home, they went out and played some baseball the other night and then the group came back to play cards and have pizza. It's fun having them in our home. This past Friday we began another job in our apartment. We've been wanting to paint our bathroom for awhile because the paint it was painted with before was horrible. So we decided to paint that and touch up my dresser with the glossy black paint. The bathroom was my task to take on and although I don't want people to look at it too close because I'm sure it's not perfect-I'm super proud of the job I did and how it looks. I will post a picture when it's all done.

That night as you can see from the picture above we went to my parents house to wash some clothes, have a BBQ and of course see the kids. We love any opportunity to spend time with the kids, we love having them over to our place. That night since it was so beautiful we headed down to the playground with them, even though it was super windy. We had a great time there and we were all pretty drained by the end of the night...except Georgia she was in a crazy mood when Kathy, Jeff and Darren showed up. To see all the pictures check out facebook but for now here are a few of my favorites...

Georgia Marie Nelson... don't you just love her she has the greatest smile that can just brighten everyones day. She is a real trooper. She put up with all the crazy things we made her do at the play ground and didn't even cry once...man I love this kid!!

This was a super cute shot of Big Brother Jake taking care of his baby sister. Plus his smile was much nicer in this shot then in the other where he is looking much more forced to say CHEESE! I don't think Georgia was ready for what came next and we threw her down the slide but she's slowly warming up to the idea of the slide! This is my little cutie Sarah Grace. I think she looks adorable in this picture. She is looking more grown-up everyday and I love her to pieces. She recently as I mentioned lost another tooth so she is showing off the new hole in her mouth and her cute new hair do very well! This is my first baby...well baby niece I should say. She is 7 now and is so grown up. She is such a little cutie and super smart she has grown a love for reading chapter books and we had matching colored shirts on that night which was pretty cute.

I must also mentioned that she learned a lesson about drugs that night and how you should not take anything from strangers or eat anything that you don't know what it is because it can make you very sick. How you might ask she learned this lesson...well it was from watching Coronation Street with her favorite auntie. A little girl was in the hospital because she had taken some drugs that she found in her dolls head. Jessica wouldn't go get a bath until the show was over and she know what had happened to little Bethany on the show...Kathy you can update her that Bethany is doing much better and her uncle David is being punished for what he did!

This Final picture was a really funny one from our night at the playground. Brandon had shown the kids how much fun it would be to wind the swing up and let it go...which I'm sure we all did and loved as children. Anyway Jake wanted a turn so Brandon wound him pretty tight. So he's having a blast un-winding when he gets to the end and is jerked a bit and the swing started twisting the other way....he fell off the swing and landed pretty softly with his feet stuck to the swing still. I didn't get to snap a picture because we were more worried about him being okay...which is was...ohhh it was a priceless moment that I should have been video taping!

The final thing to mention would be the wedding reception that I went to with my sister and friends Saturday night. I'm sure many of you know that Nathan and Caverly got married back in may and are officially the Smith Family. We had the chance to celebrate their big day Saturday night. The reception was a lot of fun with really cute games, toasts, a slide show, and yummy deserts. It was a fun night to hangout and celebrate with everyone. Again you can check out the pic's on facebook but here are a few from the night. I just want to say how much I love this couple. They are so adorable together and I'm so glad that they'll be in Halifax ward... It's fun because Nathan and I go back to the youth days. Caverly and I only met a few years ago but she is such an awesome gal and I can't wait to get to hangout with her sometime soon!!

This is one of the deserts that we had at the reception. Cav said that Nathan's aunt Gina makes it and it takes about 10 hours to make...probably because it's layers of colored Jello...too cool and pretty delicious. We just had to take pictures of it's coolness!! This is Caverly and Nathan Smith at their little table for two. They both looked amazing that night, they could seriously be models in a wedding magazine...goodness just look at those bright white smiles!!! They are a match made in Heaven for sure!
This was half of the table that I sat with...who knew that we all planned to wear black and white tonight to this event...I had a blast sitting with the girls they are definitely good for laughs and fun conversation...plus Vanessa just hooked me up with Laguna Beach seasons 1 &2 and The Hills season 1 &2 and I've been enjoying them so so much!! Thanks Vanessa!
This was probably my highlight of the night. We were getting ready to head home and were just chatting with the bride and the groom when the final song from High School Musical 2 came on...and that is when this picture occurred when Caverly and I figured out that we both share a crazy obsession with the High School Musical Movies. We're already planning on watching them together and she's going to teach me the moves to the song "All For One" the finale of the 2nd movie...and hopefully we'll get to go see the third together.

Becca you would have had so much fun meeting another person that shares our love of these movies. I was telling Cav about you and your post about the movie and how you live down the street from east high... i wish you could come to the movie with us it's going to be a blast!

This is just a shot if me and the bride...her dress was beautiful and so perfect for her figure...she had a hand in the design for it and could seriously go into business because it was super cute.

They are a beautiful couple and I'm so excited for them as they begin their lives together!

This week is going to be a fun but sad one because we are loosing 2 great employees at Roots. Jeff and Farah...we are so sad that it's their last week...they'll be missed for sure! I'm excited though to hear all about their adventures. I'll hopefully be posting some pic's from tomorrow night. Jeff and I are going over to Kathy's to play some wii before Jeff moves to England. Man I'm going to miss you Jeff!! I was especially bummed tonight when i was watching the Bachelorette previews for next week which look super good and I realized I won't get to chat with Jeff about it next week at work...bummer!! Farah is my OTH friend we have the greatest chats about our show...we're going to have to e-mail each other about season 6!!

Last thing to mention...

We had another successful nursery week!!!

I get so excited when nursery works and we stick to the routine...what was great was that this week two of my kids that sometimes have a harder time leaving their parents had a GREAT week Both little Halle and Ethan came right in and were brave and made it through the whole nursery time without any tears...woohoooo!!!!! Loving the nursery success!!!!

Anyway it's late but I wanted to get this post in...I'm off to finish Lord of the Rings Book one and then continue with Can You Keep A Secret... if you want a funny read check this book out so far I've laughed out loud a few times.

Oh and I'm going to say sorry for anything being spelt wrong or not gramatically correct...I was just too tired to go back and re-read my post!!

Night Night Everyone...until next post!!!

My Roots Family!!

So this is a little post about one of my other families that I belong to and that is my Roots Family! I have been working for Roots for just over six years, can you even believe that. I started as a full time key holder and moved my way up to assistant manager... come September I will take on a new role of possibly just part time sales person as I head back to school. It's going to be a big adjustment for me. We have a lot of fun at my store....380 Spring Garden is the best store ever...we are one big family that always is just laughing and having fun. I have made so many great friends there that I know will be my friends forever no matter where they go or what oceans they cross.
Tonight we had a fun get together with just a few of our Roots family members because there are a few moving away from us and we are all really bummed about that! We met up at the Fireside Restaurant for dinner tonight and had a great time hanging out, eating and snapping some photos. They had delicious fries there I so wish I'd gotten a meal with fries... but my meal was still so yummy and dessert was delicious!! Any time we get to hangout there are always some great pictures hope you enjoy them all!!
Ben and Terri Smith... Terri was our manager for almost five years. Her and I were a GREAT team and we'll miss her lots as she moves to Kingston Ontario. Ben her husband just finished up school and passed his big tests, so we were all so excited and happy for Ben. Terri is one of the sweetest people I know, she lives near me but mailed my birthday gift to me because she knows I like getting mail!! They enjoyed their Nachos tonight!!
This is Jeff and I with our delicious dessert...we were the only two that got dessert but we deserved it after our busy day at work...Jeff especially had a busy day running all around trying to finish preparing to head to England...but the super star that he is got it all accomplished in one hour!! Go Jeff!!! Oh and this picture is for Kathy she needs to frame is since Jeff and I are two of Kathy's favorite people!!
This is Dina and Maria... Maria and I call Dina our mutual friend...Dina is also friends with Melissa, so we have another mutual friend...so it's super fun when we get to chat and figure out who our friends are we were both excited to find out that Melissa and Nate were having a baby boy!!!!!
This is Jeff and his fish face as he prepares to each his fish and chips...he'll be eating a lot of this meal when he moves to London England this month. I'm so excited for Jeff but he'll be missed big time. Jeff and I have I think a lot in common we can always kill a morning talking about our shows...we have a lot of great chats and loads of good laughs...so Jeff you'll be missed big time...you are one of my favorite friends, and we'll keep in touch somehow...you'll be my coronation street connection in the UK and you better do the tour and take pictures!!
This is our awesome Roots family...were a great team and we always will be no matter where we all end up!! L-R Me, Farah, Jeff, Melanie, Terri and Maria.
There are a few more pictures on facebook so check them out. We love visitors at the store so stop in and say hello...it gives us a great break from sometimes long days!!!

It seems like all I ever post about is Birthdays...

I definitely feel like I'm ALWAYS posting about birthdays...but what can I say our family loves to party. So be prepared for party updates and lots of pictures there were just too many cute ones to comment on...so let the update being!!

Jessica Turned SEVEN! I cannot believe that our little Jessica is seven already, next year she'll be eight and ready to be baptized. Jessica and I have a special connection I think because we've been together since her birth. She was my first neice born and we spent a lot of time together as she's grown up. I used to get to babysit her every friday when she was little. I also got to be one of the first people to hold her, which I think I earned since I had umbilical cord blood splashed on my white sweater. I know your probably all thinking who wears a white sweater to the delivery of a baby...well I do...it was like 4:ooam and it was the closet thing I could grab in all my excitement!! She has been a blessing in our lives ever since that day and she is so cute and so smart. She is an awesome little girl and I love her so so much. On to the party...

So we celebrated Jessica's birthday on her birthday...May 25th. It was a fun night of delicious Super Store Cake and ice cream...YUMMY! Jessica got so many thoughtful gifts she was very excited. This picture shows part of the gift that uncle brandon and I gave her...it's the soundtrack of High School Musical 2...the kids and I share a love of these movies so Jessica was hooked up this year by getting one of the movies and both sound tracks. We're going to go see the third one when it comes out in the theatres. I only wish Becca lived closer by so she could come too!!! Jessica even had a high school musical themed cake which not only looked good but it tasted soooo amazing!!! I definitely had two pieces. It was great to celebrate Jessica's birthday with all her family and friends around here. Here is a cute pictures of Jessica and her sister and cousins. I think they all must have color co-ordinated their outfits for the birthday festivities!! What was an even bigger hit at the party was the movie theatre pop corn machine that Kathy and Jeff had...man they know how to deliver a good party. We all ate popcorn like crazy people that night. I don't normally like movie popcorn but ohhh this was so good and so fresh...yummmm now I want popcorn!! Oh well!! So Happy Birthday to Jessica...I hope that she knows just how much we love her and just how blessed we are to have her in our lives!!

I don't have a picture to post with this next little post, but before Jessica's birthday party we had Cory and his adorable family over for a BBQ. They came over since Cory was advancing in the priesthood..woohoo for cory...we were all very proud of him. Cory comes from a large family there are eight kids...2 girls and 6 boys and they are all so adorable. I had a lot of fun playing with the little boys...Ben, Christopher and James...they are the cutest little guys...i hope they'll come visit again.

I have to mention too that Sarah Grace lost another tooth. She was very excited about it. She called me the day after it came out to pass on the good news. I didn't get to see her until the birthday party but she made sure to show me and her toothless smile looks GREAT!! She also got her hair cut the other day and she looks so adorable. They just trimmed it up and it looks great. I had to post this picture because she is just too cute with her new hair and lost tooth. Yeah for Sarah!! She's getting so grown up! Can you just tell how much I adore these kiddos!! haha!!

Kristi surprised us all this past month by coming for a visit and it's been so great to have her around. I got to sit by her and that cute son of hers on sunday and it was super nice. Isaiah is a total cutie and such a charmer. He kept leaning on me...it was adorable. I wish they lived here all the time. We had the opportunity to go to dinner with Kristi and the girls and it was such a fun night. Sonja picked me up and we headed to East Side Marios. Check out kathy's blog to see everyone that was there I haven't had the chance to steel her pictures yet, but they are really nice pictures. I hope Laura isn't counting my word usage again...I know I say nice and cute and awesome too much. It was a fun night and it was great to get to sit and chat with all the girls. What was especially enjoyable was that my sister and two sister-in-laws were there. I love when I can go to something and some family member is there. I love all my sisters and am so lucky to have them all in my life. Keah came up from bridgewater for the night so I had to get a pictures because she looked too cute with little hunter. Sadly my chicken Cesar salad did not agree with my tummy and i knew that as soon as I got home. So I ended up having to take a sick day the next day. Luckily Laura and Jeff were able to cover for me so that I could take the day to feel better. I was feeling better that evening so Brandon and I went over to the Bing Home to celebrate Lucy's Birthday...Lucy is Brittany's Beagle and part of our family. We had a delicious chicken pot pie which I have the recipe for and I can't wait to try to make...mom bing sure knows how to cook a great meal. We had ice cream cake for desert and they even had a little cake for lucy, which Brittany took pictures of her later eating it. We did some laundry there and watched the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks. I didn't think that it was going to be any good, but it was actually really cute. Brandon and I enjoyed remembering the past and the cartoon show we both used to watch. I also had the some Christmas Christmas by the chipmunks in my head the rest of the night. Check it out it was super adorable.

Georgia is One!!! I cannot believe that it has been a year since little G joined our family. She is the sweetest, funniest, cutest little girl and again has been a big blessing in our family. We celebrated her birthday on Friday the 30th of May with a big family BBQ. I love the summer because I love BBQ's and Kathy and Jeff always know how to deliver on a stellar BBQ. I have so full, but it was just so hard to stop eating especially with Charlotte's Potato salad on the table. Georgia was so cute the whole day with all her giggle and smiles. It was great to have to whole family there that we took the opportunity to take lots of pictures. Laura came up with the idea to get this one of the O'Hearon girls and it turned out really cute. Laura was concerned that if I stoog between her and Kathy that we'd look like Christmas but I think it turned out alright...only Laura would worry about that!! hahha. I love all my sisters so much O'Hearon and Bings. Georgia didn't dig into her cake as much as I thought she would. She is usually into everything but not this day...she poked and picked at it and put her face into a few times but that was it...she preferred her ice cream cone. Gift opening was funny because she didn't quite get into the excitement. Luckily though she had a loving nanny and many eagar siblings t help out. She did get into playing with the toys. She got a little walker and she was jetting around the house with it...she may never learn how to walk alone now!!haha!! After the crowds had cleared out we got to test out the Wii Fit and it was soooo much fun...I did hoola hooping and set aerobics and it was so much fun, I can't wait to go over to Kathy and Jeff's to play it again. Here are few more of my favorite pictures from the Birthday party...

Cute cousins playing in the yard...abigail, jessica, jake, sarah and emily

Saying goodbye to Nanny Logan at the party...such a cute little birthday girl

Georgia's little friend Elle who came to share in the birthday festivities. She turned one a few days before G...she is a total cutie...especially in that little hat!!
So I named this picture before I saw it enlarged...I thought she was relaxing but I guess not...she looks like she's on a bit of a sugar high from all that cake!!
Jake hasn't quite figured out how to smile on demand...so this was what I got. Classic Jacob!
Me and My Big Brother...man I love this guy!! Don't you love Kathy's green wall such a great backdrop!
Three cute girls... Laura, Elle and Nicole enjoying the party!
Uncle Brandon having fun with one of his favorite girls...

Georgia and her first birthday cake...she is so cute with all her little teeth!

This was all the parents watching their kids play...i thought it was pretty cute!

Uncle Brandon and two of his other favorite girls...he's always up so lifting and swinging them around and they love that. He's such a great uncle it makes me love him even more!!!

Nursery is Going Great!!

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I've been having a great time in nursery. The kids have really settled into the new routine and we've had success every week. They are all such adorable kids and they always say the funniest things. This is a picture of them having snack a few weeks ago. I can't help taking pictures of them all because they are all just super adorable!!! I'll post more nursery updates soon!!

Hope you enjoyed the update I'm sure I'm forgetting something from this past week, but I have to go jump in the shower and get ready for work. I'm off Friday and can't wait to go to the travelling book store!! Oh and everyone my friend Jeff from work has joined the blogging family and Kathy and I couldn't be more excited about that. He's such an awesome guy and he's getting ready for a big move over to England so check out his blog and leave him lots of comments!!!

So Much To Post...Where to Begin!

So everyone I am back to blogging, life has been crazy busy lately but I really cannot complain because we have been having some fun times in the bing home. We've had birthdays and home comings and so much more. I've decided to just start from where we currently are and then work back in time...so I hope you all make it through this marathon and you enjoy all the pictures!!
So the first thing I want to say is
Congratulations to Nathan and Caverly Smith...They were married this past Saturday in Ontario and from the few pictures I've seen from Kristiane it looked like an amazing and beautiful day. I cannot wait until the reception in June to see them and Cav's dress in person...she looked stunning!!! Thanks Kristiane for the pictures and i hope you don't mind that I stole one. I can't wait for the Smith's to be here living in Halifax, I love Nathan and Caverly...she is the sweetest girl and I can't wait to get to know her better...they'll be in Halifax ward...woohoo!!!!

The next thing to mention is that my brother-in-law is HOME FROM HIS MISSION!! Elder Jaccob Ryan Bing got home last Wednesday night and we couldn't have been more exciting. He's been in Nevada the past two years and it's really great to have him home and to have the family all together. It had been a busy week with Jay coming home. Wednesday was the airport he got in a little after ten and was greeted by so many friends it was awesome...of course laureen had first dibs on him and it was too cute...as soon as he was coming down the escalator she was inching closer. Everyone did a nice slow clap for Jay as he walked out the doors. Then Peter and the rest of the family followed. He looked great and of course they lost his luggage...but it was returned to him on Saturday. I didn't really get too many good pictures from the homecoming weekend...none with Jaccob's face in them... so the picture from above is one he sent us from his mission. It was really cute to see Brandon see his brother again, he was playing it cool but he was definitely excited to have his little brother home. Jaccob has been over twice since he's been home. The boys played their game Axis and Allies for hours the other night...it's great though to have him over to hangout!! It's been great to hear about him being home and adjusting back into everyday life and hearing about his mission. I hope that we'll see him lots now that he's home!! The festivities didn't end there because us Bings we like to celebrate, haha!!

So Friday night we headed over to Meaghan and Jason's for a big Bing Family dinner. This was my first time seeing the Stewarts home and it's super cute, Meaghan has done a great job turning the once Bachelor home into a family home. Buddy and Lucy as always had a great reunion running around the big back yard, which did include hopping in the little pond...ohhh they were both so wet. Meaghan and Jason were great hosts and fed us soooooo well. Jason is the BBQ master and we had shish-kabobs....I know that's not spelt right...but i'm too tired to actually figure it out, but you can see from the photo what I'm talking about...they were delicious! We had them with pasta salad and baked potatoes...YUM!! Oh just think about it makes me hungry all over again for them. I was surprised with a super yummy blizzard cake and the singing of Happy Birthday by everyone which was super sweet. The cake was DELICIOUS!!! I definitely felt special for this birthday that was my fourth cake...YUM!!! After we finished up dinner the boys all headed off to the movies and all the ladies had a girlie night where we ate fruit and watched 27 dresses which was predictable but still cute. It was super nice to hang out with my mother and sister-in-laws...they are all such amazing women and i'm so lucky to be a part of their family. It was a late night for us but we were getting used to them last week. I don't think I was in bed before 12:40 am once last week.

Saturday was an open house for Jaccob and boy does Laureen know how to put together a delicious spread of food. Brandon was able to get off early that night and so we headed over! The house was packed with everyone welcoming Jaccob home. I don't know how much he got to eat but I think he appreciate everyone coming out. We left full and tired!!

Sunday I headed over to hear Jaccob speak and he did an amazing job. It was cute I was sitting with Kathy and the kids and I guess they were all excited to go to church to hear Brandon's brother Jaccob speak!! I think we were all very proud of Jaccob that day. What was great was I was able to see my mom and brandon's mom on mothers day, and was able to give them the little something we had for them. We feel very blessed to have two amazing mothers...we definitely are two lucky kids!!

Brandon and I waiting for Jaccob to get off his flight. Taken by my father-in-law Peter.

me and brandon after breakfast on my birthday

So I'm now 25... another birthday has come and gone and I can honestly say this was a really great one. I cannot believe that I'm 25...half of 50...wow!!! My actual birthday was pretty quiet...Brandon took me out to Cora's for breakfast which was delicious we left stuffed. He had a cake for me and a really thoughtful card...we're ordering my gift so that will come later on. He had to work in the evening so he slept in the afternoon and I sat and watched season 4 of one tree hill for hours. I haven't had a day where I just sit and do nothing, so it was a great afternoon I got through 4 of the 6 disks and am realizing how awesome season four was...it truly is the best show ever!! My FAVORITE!! We had a family friend pass away a few days before my birthday so I headed out to the funeral home with my parents that night. Jenny will be missed a lot by everyone who knows here. I wasn't able to make it to the funeral so I was glad to be there that night so see the family and visit with them. After mom and dad took me out for dinner to Montana's which was super yummy I had baked chicken Penne, Cesar salad and corn bread...dad even got me an extra piece since I love it so much. It was really nice to just eat and visit with mom and dad. Laura and our friend Nicole stopped in to hangout with me for a bit that night which was really sweet of them...I was alone that night which I didn't mind but i appreciated the visit a lot...thanks girls.

I got a BABY for my BIRTHDAY! so I always like when babies are born on my birthday...Our friends Don and Jodi Pinsent had their little girl Olivia a few years back on my birthday and this year I got another baby on my birthday. My friend Laura since grade primary has an older sister kelly and she wasn't due to have the baby until mid may but she went into labour naturally and little Alexander Robert was born on my birthday which I thought was super cool since Laura has been one of my closest friends since we were little.

The Thursday after my birthday was survivor night for everyone that knows me...it was super exciting to see the girl's new apartment...which is smaller then their old one but i think so much nicer. We had a super relaxing night watching our shows. We got pizza for dinner which was so yummy we all smelt like garlic fingers...haha!! I finally got to give Natalie her gift and her picture card and she loved the new format which I was glad was successful...it was well worth all the work. They all gave me such thoughtful gifts. Laura had made me this little book of our wedding pictures that had the words of our first dance throughout it...she put so much love and work into, it's something I'll cherish forever. Kerry and Natalie did up a cute idea of things for me home...they gave me this awesome stationary set for my craft room...candles and a holder for my living room and a pie plate (red of course) for the kitchen as well as some cute storage baskets. What especially surprised me was when they brought out a birthday cheese cake for me...Nat works at scanway and hooked me up big time...it was such a Delicious creamy cheesecake...YUMMMMMMM!!!! I was not expecting that at all...I am so lucky to have such awesome friends. I am one lucky girl!! I was surprised on Wednesday as well at work by an adorable card, cake and flowers. Maria my flowers are still looking awesome. I feel very lucky to work with the people I do...they all wrote such sweet messages in my card and Jeff took a lot of time to find an awesome card and he did. It was so beautiful and crafty... it was by the company papyrus which is one of my favorite card companies. Way to go Jeff you ROCK!!!!!!

For any of you who don't know we have a Birthday Week in our family...well it's more like two weeks...Kathy and Michael celebrate their birthday on April 26th, followed by Laura on May second and I end us on May 6th...so by my birthday we are all sick of cake but not this year since mom and dad were away! So when they returned home we had a big birthday dinner for all of us. It was so great to have everyone together and it was a night of laughter...it always is when all of my siblings are together. Mom had a big cake for all of us...and there was a sucker with each of our ages on it and Kathy goes.. "who's 29"...hahha she IS!!!! she thought she was 30...good job sister!!!hahha!! Laura out did herself with her cards for mike and kathy...kathy's as you can see is a pair of jeans that said bootylicious on the pocket and inside was a pair of under ware with a picture of President Eyring on them....so classic laura we all died of laughter. Mike got a note on a piece of paper from the paper scraps bin in our computer room which basically said she used this used paper because if she had of used a new piece dad would have killed her. Too funny...i don't know if Laura is ready for card making nights quite yet but she needs them...!hahha just teasing. Here are a few pictures from that night!

How sad is this picture...I'm a little pale ghost next to Laura!!hahha
Kathy and her "special" card... gotta love the little undies and dad's laughter in the background!

Mike, Keah, Jake and Mallory. Jake is Keah's cousin and him and Mallory are getting married this summer so they were up in the city doing some wedding stuff and were able to join in the festivities!!
Finally this is laura getting her gift opening turn. She gave me a really cute card that played the twilight zone music which was perfect since we rode that ride every year together in Disney!!

The Birthday Siblings...I Love these people soooo much...I am just so lucky to have these amazing people as my siblings. Mike is 31, Kathy is 29, I'm 25 and Laura is 19!!

Happy Birthday to US!!

So my parents and sister went to Hawaii the lucky ducks we don't talk about it much because we all wanted to go too...but anyway they got home just over a week ago and they had a great arrival at the airport. During that day we had some fun with the girls at work. Spring Garden was doing a big spring weekend event and Roots did a little 5 minute fashion show type presentation. Jessica and Sarah came down to be in it and to show off the cute kids clothing with Jeff and Laura...they came last minute so I didn't have a good camera but luckily Laura took this with her cell phone. The girls looked adorable and did a great job. While Laura talked Jeff and the girls twirled and walked around I was so proud. I thought the girls might be too shy but they did really awesome. I cheered for them so much and they talked about it the rest of the day. I treated them to ice cream afterwards since I ended up taking a sick day the rest of the day due to a yucky cold. They came over for a little bit in the afternoon before I had a little rest. They helped me mop the floors at mom and dads too!! Jessica and Sarah made a great welcome home poster for the family. It was too cute to see them standing there with it in the airport! They all got off the airplane looking nice and tanned. Mom and Dad brought me home a really cute dress for my birthday from Hawaii- it looked super cute!!

A traditional stopping place for pictures in the airport

The girls with their sign...isn't it so cute...man I love these girls.

Wow this is a marathon blog...i need to get it printed someday since it'll be my journal. Since mom and dad were away I was able to borrow a card from them....YES!!! So on my day off I was able to head over to hangout with Kathy and the Kids. I had a super fun day playing Mario Kart on the Wii...eating Enchilada's and Bacon bruschetta (my favorite) and especially making cards with Kathy and Lesley while chatting with Becca on MSN. Kathy has a web-cam so becca could see us and hear is, so we all just made cards and chatted with Becca...she now has a web-cam so next time we'll be able to see her and hear here too. We all made some cute cards and had some good laughs. I was making a birthday card for laura, but the last thing I had to do was write her name on it...and what do I write Lesley...so I made her a new one later on...hahha!!! We watched Idol together too which was way fun!! I took so many fun pictures of the kids which will eventually get posted on Facebook but here are a few from that night...
My adorable Nieces and Nephew...could Jake look any prouder of himself in his glasses...sooo funny...these kids always make me laugh...I love them so much!!
Kathy and I with the enchilada's they were delicious!!!! It looks like me made them together but I was totally just hanging out with the kids and watching...but we took this picture for Becca since she sent Kathy the Enchilada powder...thanks Becca you are AWESOME!!!

Jacob Paul Nelson in his glasses...he's too cute!! Those used to be Kathy's glasses they just popped the glass out and he wears them all the time. Check out the back drop...Kathy's new green wall sooooooo cool!!!

Happpy Birthday Sonja... the final thing to mention in my marathon blog is that I got to celebrate Sonja's 26th Birthday with her this year and we had a really fun night. Nancy, Madison and I hungout with sonja's mum, sonja and ethan. We got to watch Greys and Survivor and much on yummy treats. Sonja's mum brought this yummy dip for bread I could have eaten it all. It was great to see little Madison she's getting so much bigger and still has so much hair although I think it's going to lighten up. I think sonja had a fun night...phil surprised her with a cute necklace, earring set and her own Jeff Gordon t-shirt...both Phil and Ethan have one I think they need a little family picture in them, how cute would that be!!!! I love that idea...I think you should for me sonja!!!! Her baby bump is really growing a lot too. I'd just seen her on Sunday and by Thursday she'd totally popped more Thursday. I'm super excited for them to find out what baby nelson will be this time...I think they find out in June. I can't wait to hold the baby...I love holding babies and this one will be my stand in for the next little while since we are going back to school. Can't wait!!!!! I was really glad to hangout with the girls tonight and hopefully we'll get to do it again soon. Sonja and I have been friends since grade twelve and we've been through a lot together. She's a great friend and I love her lots. I hope she felt how much we all loved her on her special day because she deserved a great day!! Happy Birthday!!!

So I hope you all survived this massive post I wasn't sure I'd get it done but I did...Go Me!! It took me all of top model, all of Idol and all of Ned's Declassified School Zone but I have reached the end!! I'm slowly catching back up on all the sleep I lost last week and it feels nice. I work tomorrow night so I'm totally sleeping in tomorrow. We're getting new wall units in the store so I'm excited to have stuff to do tomorrow at work and then I have the day off on Friday! Can't wait!! Another day to sleep in!!

Brandon and I have been working hard as always...we are both looking forward to be back in school so we won't be working at our jobs too much. We both totally deserve the break and are looking forward to being back in school. I went to a baby shower last night for Gillian Chalmers...there were 10 babies (kids) there and three pregnany mommies to be. It was a lot of fun and Gillian got a lot of cute things for her little boy who is due on July 5th. Can't wait for the girls night this weekend that Sonja and Amber are hosting for brooke before her little girls arrives soon!!
One last thing to mention...I have a new calling at church in the nursery, I don't know if I'd mentioned that...I've been in there four weeks now and I couldn't be happier...I've gotten the room in really good shape and have the kids on an awesome schedule... Hopefully it'll keep going this well. The kids are adorable, and I'm actually having a blast. I think it's really good preparation for when I'm a teacher!! I want to take soem pictures in there soon too!
Anyway hope everyone has enjoyed this post...especially, Keah and Sonja who read them on slower moments at work and Kathy and Becca who are my chatting msn buddies who have been telling me to update forever and for my work friend Jeff who although he doesn't have a blog account so he can comment checks out my blog...hopefully he'll have his own someday soon!!!
Hope everyone is having a GREAT week!!!
