So this is my baby belly at 32 weeks... it's getting bigger every day! I'm now just over 34 weeks and it's hard to believe that this baby is due in 39 days. I still have my fingers crossed that she will make her appearance either a week or so before or after the holidays. We will take her whenever she decides to come but it would be nice if she worked with us!
I have been feeling tired but great. I've started to have a few aches and pains in my knees at back at night, and some brutal random leg cramps while sleeping, but I don't let them get me down. It's all part of the experience and I'm thankful for every kick this little girl sends my way.
We've been going to prenatal classes the past three weeks, with two more coming in the next two weeks at the hospital. So far we've talked about parents relationships, newborn care, & breast feeding. The first class was so useless, but the second two were a bit more beneficial, although the infant care was fairly familiar to me. Our last two are at the hospital and should be quite useful, because they are about labor and delivery. Brandon is surviving them, although he finds them quite boring, I let him play monopoly on my phone for the end time of the class.
My doctor appointments have been going great. My blood pressure has been right on and my weight has been going up and down. I had a .2lb loss followed by a rather large gain, followed again by a loss of 3.2 lbs. So as long as this pattern keeps going I'll survive the last few weeks. I'm measuring right on and the doctor says I have a perfect belly- I always remind Brandon on that! Baby Olivia's heart beat has been fantastic, and she is a very active little baby, moving and kicking lots. I've had a few rib shots which were painful, but again not complaining, when she kicks I know that she doing okay in there!
I've recently been spoiled by having two AMAZING baby showers, but I will post about them when I get all the pictures in to use for the post. I was quite surprised by my second one, I had NO clue that it was happening and I made all sorts of reasons for seeing odd things on my way into the shower, but as I said more about that later.
The baby's room is coming together nicely, her "Very Hungry Caterpillar" room is looking fantastic and I can't wait to have it all done and set up for her arrival! I have to make a list of the few things that I still need to pick up for her.
Here is a question for all my blogger friends... what are the best products for baby that you couldn't have survived without... share them all, I want to be as ready for this little girl as I can!
I've just finished a week of teaching grade 3/4 and am ready to get some rest, we had a fantastic week and the kids were great for me. They are very caring of my growing baby. One even wrote a poem about Brandon and I who have both taught in their class. I will have to share that next time when it's closer to me.

Well you know my babies have all loved having a swing and it helped me survived Ethan's colicky sleepless nights! It was something I made sure I got again for Clara since our first one died after using so much with E and K.
I agree with Sonja! Swing is a must! This time around I got a nursing pillow and it made such a difference. Also if you plan on nursing I would suggest nipple ointment, it makes a huge difference the first few weeks!
I'm the odd duck, I never used swings with my babies. Cam hated it, and so I never bothered to get one with Roo or Claire.
Kiddopatomus swaddle wraps are my must-have, along with this: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2002&e=product&pid=51903&pcat=bg_sleepers
I wish more than anything that I had this with my first two. Claire LOVES it, and has been sleeping 12 hours a night in it for past several weeks now. Swaddled in her wrap. :)
Hi Karen,
I'm glad you found my blog... if you like TVD and The Bach then you must be totally awesome!
Congratulations on your new baby.
